XDefiant Problems Continue as Fans Find Something Other Than the Netcode to Complain About
Ubisoft's XDefiant journey is not soothing at all, with problems occurring every day that require permanent solutions to make the game enjoyable.
- XDefiant was released after it had gone through a long development process.
- Even after years of effort, Ubisoft failed to make the game what players expected.
- Players are not happy with the Battle Pass progression of XDefiant.
XDefiant is Ubisoft’s latest free-to-play shooter title, which initially created huge hype before release, but everything soon got a hard hit. After the game was released, fans constantly complained about something or another that they didn’t find suitable. Among them, the Netcode issue is the biggest one. However, now something more serious has arrived.
The game was released in May 2024, and since then, it has been going through a rough time. Aside from the Netcode problem, there’s another vital issue that players have been discussing for a while already, but recently, a player took it to Reddit to ask for others’ opinions, and that’s about the Battle Pass of the game.
XDefiant Fans Are Frustrated With the Battle Pass Progression
Ubisoft took years to develop the title. Though a few beta versions ran in between, the final version of the game proves that the developer didn’t take the fan feedback from the beta seriously. Instead, what it released was more problematic.
From the beginning, the speed of the game seemed problematic, and fans have been complaining about it. From the weapon progression to the Battle Pass progression, players don’t find anything suitable in XDefiant. This issue has been creating frustration among players for quite some time, but recently, a player posted about it on the subreddit.
The player compared the game with other shooters and mentioned,
“…does anyone else find the battle pass to unlock super slow compared to other games? It just feels like you get exceptionally little battle pass xp per match relative to other shooters.”
XP is essential to level up in the game and unlock higher-level items from the battle pass. Therefore, not getting enough XP automatically slows down the progress.
As soon as this discussion topic arrived, players dived into expressing all the complaints they had regarding this problem.
Some players are not happy with the item arrangement in the Battle Pass.
However, a few players advised them to use boosters to make the process faster. Anyway, the game has lost loads of players because of these issues.
Ubisoft Is Losing a Significant Amount of Players Due to Complicated Gameplay
XDefiant has lots of problems with its gameplay. Since it was released, no one has claimed this game to be a perfect shooter to experience. Among most other problems, the speed of the gameplay drew attention from the very beginning.
According to players, the gameplay is extremely fast-paced, and players who haven’t played shooter games before couldn’t manage to learn it with the high speed. They mentioned features like air strafing and slide cancellation, which make the game more complicated and almost unplayable for casual players.
While the game has different modes, each of them requires players to revise their strategy and approach, which is tough and almost impossible for a casual player to figure out without investing lots of hours. Therefore, a lot of them are leaving the game without even giving it a proper try.
Whether Ubisoft is taking these complaints seriously and considering them isn’t yet sure because the developer has stated nothing about the slow progression or complicated game mechanics.
So, while waiting for further news, players can check out a recent update that has reportedly made DedSec a more powerful faction.
