Nexon released The First Descendant this year after putting loads of effort into making the third-person shooter game as perfect as possible. However, even the developer never imagined the popularity it would gain within a few hours of its release. But since the game was released, Nexon has shown how much it’s aware of its strengths and weaknesses.

Like every other third-person shooter game, this one offers players multiple playable characters, divided into different classes. Along with that, the game has a range of weapons to choose from. The game seems to have everything players require in a shooter game, and with it, Nexon has proved that it exactly knows its strengths.

The First Descendant developer was well aware of the USP it had, even before the game was released.

The First Descendant was released on July 2, 2024, and the amount of success it achieved was beyond expectations. Therefore, the expectations of fans have increased even more, and they often ask for different things from the developer. However, Nexon is always there, listening and responding to the demands.

Be it bugs and errors or anything about any character, Nexon hasn’t yet disappointed fans. However, the developer was sure of its strength from the beginning, and during the Summer Game Fest, game director Minseok Joo sat down for an interview with GameRant

In this interview, Joo talked about multiple topics related to the game, including the strength of Nexon. Importantly, the game hadn’t yet been released at that time. He mentioned,

As a gaming company, we’re especially certain we’re experts in the field of communicating with the players. We’re putting a lot of time and effort into implementing our experience and our techniques to better service and better communicate with our players.

Therefore, Nexon is especially sure of its communication skills, and it specifically wanted this skill to be the strength that should improve the gameplay experience for The First Descendant players.

Nexon has been extra careful of what players are complaining about and what they are happy with since the game was released.

Nexon is well aware that listening to fans’ demands is the best way to improve the gameplay experience. Therefore, it’s been sincere from the beginning in fixing bugs and errors and adding features that players demand. Once again, this fact came to light when, on August 2, the game got its first patch notes.

This update has brought multiple fixes and added several other things to the game to balance the gameplay. This includes an indicator that will glow to make players aware of “a slot item that already expanded the relevant slots to the limit is included as bundle content.” However, the price will be cut from the bundle.

Aside from these, the patch fixed several other glitches and bugs that players have reported during their playthroughs.

For example, the Fortress Outskirts mission used to spawn fewer monsters, but the latest patch has fixed it.

Communication is the best way to win players’ hearts. The more Nexon listens to the demands of the fans and implements changes, the more players will keep playing the game without getting frustrated.
