“Too much text and no action”: Helldivers 2 Players Aren’t Too Happy With Arrowhead’s 60-Day Plan Progress Update
Helldivers 2 has gone through lots of changes, and Arrowhead has promised more updates to the game, which at this point doesn't convince players.
- Helldivers 2 is undoubtedly one of the best games released this year, but it has always gone through rough patches.
- Though players grind the game on a regular basis, they don't hesitate to slam it whenever something happens.
- Arrowhead has made loads of wrong decisions, and players seem to have lost faith in its promises.
Helldivers 2’s progress path has never been smooth. Though this game has achieved a lot, it has gone through almost the same amount of controversies and criticisms. While players love to grind the game, they never hesitate to brutally slam it when they are not satisfied with something. After a smooth run for some weeks, once again, Helldivers 2 fans dived into criticizing it for fewer actions and more talks.
Arrowhead has always prioritized players’ opinions. Despite it having made several disastrous decisions, it has mostly considered all the complaints and feedback from fans to make the game more exciting. Therefore, often, Helldivers 2 gets updates to implement changes. Once again, some changes are promised, but players aren’t convinced.
Arrowhead Revealed That Its 60-Day Plan Will Bring New Changes to the Game
This third-person co-op shooter broke all the records as soon as it was released on PC and PlayStation 5 earlier this year. While initially the sales of the game overwhelmed the developers, later they did face a hard time satisfying this huge player base. Though Arrowhead tried a lot to maintain a bond with fans and even asked for their suggestions several times regarding in-game features, the latest reactions are not very positive.
Players have been mostly dissatisfied with the developer nerfing potent weapons. However, once again on a Steam post, Arrowhead revealed the next update, which is coming on September 17. On Steam, it confirmed that the team has been working hard for its upcoming 60-day plan, and with this update, a lot more improvements will be made.
As expressed, this update will balance over 30 weapons and stratagems, along with the armor penetration system, which has also been going through a rework. Autocannon, Heavy Machine Gun, and Anti-Material Rifle will become more powerful once this update comes. Aside from that, Hulks will have weaker armor, and Devastators and Gunships will fire fewer rockets.
While most of these sound exciting, Helldivers 2 players reacted completely differently to this announcement.
Helldivers 2 Fans Are Not Convinced With These Promises
When initially the game started its journey on Steam, players’ reviews were mostly positive. However, as days passed, Arrowhead started launching updates to nerf the weapons, which eventually made enemies stronger. This has gradually made players give negative reviews, though the overall review is still positive.
In the latest Steam post, the developer stated that it has a clear idea of the scenario and it hopes that the new update will meet the expected standard. Unfortunately, players’ opinions contradict this thought.
Some players revealed that for the last few months, Arrowhead hasn’t done anything, except for stating what it wants to do.
About the guns getting buffs, some Helldivers expressed that it is temporary and some months later, these weapons will get nerfed again.
A few of them even agreed on the point that the game doesn’t need rebalancing. It needs new content.
This clearly suggests that the update coming on September 17 hasn’t made players even a little bit excited.
Mostly, they have lost faith in Arrowhead after they have seen the developer bring upsetting updates multiple times to make the game more unsatisfactory.
