Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is about to get a new installment, though details are still to be revealed.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater stirred the gaming world during the early 2000s. The first game of the series was released in 1999, and after its significant success, Activision kept it alive until 2020 with back-to-back installments. After that, the series received no updates for the next four years, until Tony Hawk, the renowned skater, arrived with some news.

Just a few weeks back, the American professional skater talked about an upcoming installment to be released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. He mentioned talking to Activision regarding this matter. Well, no further update came.

On September 29, the series celebrated its 25th anniversary, and once again, the eminent skateboarder took to his Instagram to talk about this. After sharing his experience of working with Activision to develop the games and his gratitude to gamers for accepting the series so well, he mentioned,

“I’m not supposed to tease anything else about the future of the series, but there will be a future.”

Well, no more information has been stated about when this game will come or whether it will be the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 remastered that was previously canceled after Vicarious Visions merged with Blizzard.

Anyway, if it comes in 2025, there’s a great chance that the game will clash with another renowned skateboarding series, coming after a fifteen-year interval.

EA Announced That Skate 4 Will Enter Its Early Access in 2025

After a long pause, EA has announced Skate 4 will begin early access sometime in 2025.

If you have never experienced EA’s Skate series, that’s nothing surprising. This series was launched in 2007 with Skate, and after that, it received three more installments. With Skate 3, it went into a long silence in 2010.

After more than a decade, EA finally announced that the upcoming installment of this series, Skate 4, will enter its early access in 2025.

On September 17, the official X account of the game got a teaser that concluded with the announcement of the early access in 2025. Anyway, no exact date or month has yet been stated.

Well, the trailer was pretty eye-catching, and it seems like EA has made loads of changes to make it playable to a wide range of audiences. As the team previously revealed,

“we’ve improved accuracy and control to make learning tricks easier. The team is also hard at work to give you the tools to have fun your way, by yourself or with friends, anywhere in San Vansterdam.”

If both skateboarding series come with their newest installments around the same time, the fight will be tough yet exciting for sure.
