“There’s a chance we’re going to bring them back”: Ed Boon Teased the Return of 2 Mechanics Fans Have Been Crying Out For
Will players be able to become animals again?
Mortal Kombat 1 has been promising a lot to players. The Mortal Kombat series is one of the best fighting series going on for decades, with a bunch of installments. Of course, not all of them receive equal popularity, but fans still love grinding them, as they expect a lot from these games. Unfortunately, Mortal Kombat 1 is among those installments.
Though initially Mortal Kombat 1 didn’t receive huge popularity, it still has a fanbase, and fans are always expecting a lot of exciting content from the developer. There were two features that they have been requesting for a long time to add to Mortal Kombat 1, and finally, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. seem to have considered the demand.
Mortal Kombat Creator Ed Boon Has Revealed Two Most Wanted Features to Potentially Be Added
Mortal Kombat 1 has been adding a lot of new features. Soon after its announcement of bringing a new fighter to the game, once again, the Mortal Kombat team has come up with a new revelation: Ed Boon has expressed that it’s considering the possibility of bringing Animalities and Babalities.
During one of his interviews, while answering a fan’s question, the creator of the series said that over the years, they have added lots of features and continued,
“Personally, I’d like to cover the ones that we haven’t done recently. So, there’s a little bit of spoiling, but there’s certainly a chance that we’re going to bring them back.”
His statement has created a stir among the Mortal Kombat community, as players have assumed that they will get back the two most demanded features, Animalities and Babalities to the game in the near future.
However, when these two features will be added hasn’t been mentioned yet.
Animalities and Babalities Have a Long History in the Mortal Kombat Series
The Mortal Kombat series is always renowned for its humorous presentations of some features. The fighting series is intense, and with only action and violence, the gameplay would have become bizarre for most players. To prevent this, the developer has added different aspects to make the game fun.

Friendships and Babalities were introduced to the series with Mortal Kombat 2 after the first game of the series faced brutal controversy and criticism because of its violence and Fatalities. These controversies went too far and created a legal debate. Almost every report went against the game, saying that it promoted real-life violence. The introduction of these two features in the next installment normalized the situation.
Following Friendships and Babalities, Mortal Kombat 3 brought a new feature, Animalities. With this feature introduced, players could turn into animals when it is activated and brutally tear apart the opponent. Unlike Babalities, which made its way to Mortal Komabt 9, Animality has never been added to any other installment of this series since it was introduced.
Whether Animality will be added to Mortal Kombat 1 or not is still uncertain, as Ed Boon doesn’t mention what he’s going to bring. So, waiting is all we can do. But at the same time, staying updated is necessary, and we recommend not to miss a feature that NetherRealm Studios can add to make the Mortal Kombat 1 experience much better.
