SUMMARY
  • Space Marine 2's success has crossed all the records of Warhammer 40K games, but still, Saber Interactive messed something up.
  • The game has multiple Tyranids to face, and one of the units is giving players a hard time beating it.
  • Players are already expecting DLC or a sequel to the game to get another formidable faction to fight.

Space Marine 2’s journey has been pretty smooth up to this point. The expectation level was high, and players were confused about whether the game would disappoint them or not. Well, Saber Interactive fulfilled everything it had promised. While everything is nearly perfect in Space Marine 2, one mistake has stopped its winning streak.

The game was released on September 9, and Saber Interactive proved that the 13-year wait was worth it. The PvP and PvE modes have especially attracted attention, along with the enemy swarms. Well, when it comes to the enemies, there’s something that players find annoying.

Space Marine 2 Players Point out a Mistake That Ruins the Gameplay to Some Extent

space marine 2 neurothrope
Space Marine 2 has loads of Tyranid enemies to beat, but none is as annoying as Neurothrope.

In Space Marine 2, Titus is up against the Tyranids and the Thousand Sons Traitor Legion. At every step, some enemies are ready to attack Titus. While most of them are thrilling to take down, some are considered to be the worst.

When grinding the game, players often encounter Neurothrope enemies. These are flying Tyranid enemies that players have to beat as bosses during the campaign, and later, these enemies will randomly appear during operations.

The problematic part is that these Neurothrope enemies are heavily armored creatures with powerful primary weapons. These make the battle tough for players. Therefore, frustrated players are calling it “the worst enemy in the game.”

When one Space Marine 2 player took this topic to X (formerly Twitter), others joined him in the discussion, expressing a similar opinion.

Well, some players have cracked the code for the game, and they recommend charged plasma shots or a couple of shots with a Las Fusil, which will make the fight easier.

Space Marine 2 Players Have Started Speculating About an Enemy Faction to Make an Appearance

Space Marine 2‘s storyline has multiple hidden references to Necrons, which trigger the idea of this faction appearing in the game in the future.

After the massive success of Space Marine 2, another sequel, like Space Marine 3, is almost sure to come. Well, if not a sequel, players are already looking forward to getting a DLC because of one enemy faction they are expecting to get in the future.

There’s a certain logic behind the assumption of a sequel or a DLC. Space Marine 2 ends with a scary battle between the two enemy factions and Titus. In this battle, Titus, with the help of Ultramarines Chapter Master Marneus Calgar, beats all these bugs. Afterward, he is sent on an unrevealed mission.

This has initiated the idea of a sequel or a DLC to come in the future. Further, it gets a boost as players have received some clear hints of Necrons, one of the deathless enemies of the series, in different parts of Space Marine 2. A lot of hints are hidden in the storyline of the game.

During some operations, players will visit ancient planets with mysterious pictures on the wall. They are a clear hint to Necrons. The game even has Data-slates that reveal that the Necron constructs have been killing Tech-priests.

Even a part of the campaign takes Titus to a Tomb World, full of Necron buildings and structures.

Well, Saber Interactive hasn’t stated anything about the enemies coming next in the game or whether the game will get any DLC.
