The Walking Dead and 4 Other Collaborations that Actually Work in Call of Duty: Warzone
Call of Duty‘s collaboration with renowned movie franchises is a common incident that veteran players have encountered multiple times throughout these years. Almost all the COD installments have gone through different collaborations, but none probably got as much popularity as the Warzone. Since its introduction in 2020, Warzone has encountered a variety of crossover-themed updates, with the recent The Walking Dead update. As a die-hard Warzone fan, if you want to look back and try to list the top 5 collaborations of Warzone, this guide will try to help you with the choices.
The choice is indeed tough as the Warzone has collaborated with some of the most popular franchises and introduced multiple exciting operator skins and equipment, but we have listed the top five collabs that we think are worth the most.
5. First Blood (Rambo)
If you have been playing Warzone since its launch, you surely remember the appearance of Rambo in Warzone. In 2021, Activision introduced the First Blood series collaboration to Warzone which got more than expected popularity among fans. When the question is to survive on a vast map and become the last man standing, who can be a better option than Rambo? In the series, Rambo is already well-known for killing all of his enemies and being the last man standing. Considering this quality of the character, the developers have added him as part of the ’80s Action Heroes event.
4. Die Hard (John McClane)
Warzone fans probably never forget the introduction of John McClane in the game. Introduced with Rambo in the ’80s Action Heroes event, McClane surpassed him in popularity. His battle scars and appearance matched with the theme of Warzone in a way that it seemed that he had always been a part of this battlefield. The developers have carefully highlighted all the little details of John McClane’s skin to heighten its impact. Even his dialogues are said with utter accuracy as if they are taken directly from the movie. He was part of the Die Hard Operator Bundle and if you have equipped the skin, you might remember his unique walking style on the home screen of the game.
3. Godzilla and King Kong
Remember this collaboration of Warzone? It was probably one of the best collaborations Warzone ever encountered. Earlier in 2022, Activision announced one of the biggest collaborations of the year, Operation Monarch. The teaser of the event showed these two giant iconic creatures fighting, which heightened the excitement of the COD fans instantly. This collaboration was the most hyped one, but the event was massively successful.

The entire map got some changes, but what thrilled players the most was the gigantic sizes of the enemies. In COD, players often face bosses, but they have never encountered enemies as gigantic and powerful as these two. Fortunately, Godzilla and King Kong were not bosses in the game; instead, they used to help players fight greater threats.
2. The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is the upcoming Warzone collaboration that has created a wave of excitement since announced. The official announcement has revealed that Rick Grimes is finally making his way to the battlefields of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, during Season 2. Additionally, the new season and The Walking Dead crossover will probably be taking another renowned character from the same series to the battlefields of COD: Michonne. As the teaser says, both these operator skins will be added to Warzone.

This collaboration is yet to come, but undoubtedly, it is going to be one of the best crossovers Warzone ever had. We can’t throw any light on the exact appearance of these characters or how players will get them as the release date of Season 2 is yet to be declared. We hope soon you will experience battling wearing Rick Grimes’ operator skin.
1. Snoop Dogg
Until now, we have mentioned the renowned series or films that Warzone ever collaborated with, but as a die-hard fan, you must remember the 2022 collaboration of Warzone brought Snoop Dogg, the renowned rapper as a playable character. In April 2022, Activision officially announced this crossover, and it heightened the popularity of Wawrzone to a different level. The Snoop Dogg bundle introduced the Snoop Dogg operator skin, with his voiceover, biography, and three legendary weapon blueprints named: the “Bong Ripper” sniper rifle, the “West Coast Bling” assault rifle, and “Tha Shiznit” SMG.
This was not the first time Snoop Dogg appeared in a game. He had made appearances in different games like NFL, Madden, Tekken, etc. It was not even his first COD appearance because he previously gave his voice in Call of Duty Ghosts Multiplayer.
These are the top five collaborations that Warzone ever had. However, a few more Warzone collaborations received massive popularity, like Attack on Titan, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, etc., but none surpassed these five in content and renown.
