“The response will be more immediate.”: Stellar Blade Dev Explains 1 Setting to Make the Game Far Easier
Steller Blade is one of the most anticipated games by Sony and it will be officially available to explore within a few days. Before that, players have been currently enjoying the demo version of the original game. That’s a common trend that lots of games follow to give the fans a glimpse of what they are going to experience. The character design and combat style of the game have already won the hearts of the fans, but the demo experience seems to be a bit difficult for them. Fortunately, the developers have monitored the frequently faced issue when playing the Steller Blade Demo and provided them with a solution.
Steller Blade Developers Value Player Satisfaction and Come With a Solution to the Most Annoying Problem of the Demo
Games often have a few issues to solve. Demo versions are no exception to this tradition. So, after the Steller Blade Demo version was released, players have been constantly reporting that while trying it on their consoles, the game’s controls don’t work properly. The response is not immediate, which is really a difficult thing to handle in a slash ’em up game. However, a few days back, @StellarBlade Twitter handle shared the solution. A developer revealed if the controls are not working properly on the console they “recommend turning on TV’s “Game Mode”. The response will be more immediate.”
Changing the platform will automatically change some game settings and enable your controller to work more efficiently and the commands on your controller will be reflected on the screen immediately. The demo of the game is a one-hour journey that gives players a glimpse of the world and the characters, along with some of the challenges that should be there in the official version. Though players keep dying, they still come back to experience the demo.
Steller Blade is not an open-world game and follows a linear path of progression where killing enemies is the only way to progress. Though a few things may seem a bit weird, still the demo of the game clearly shows the amount of effort and care developers have put into the game. So, players are hopeful about getting a memorable experience combined with excellent graphics in Steller Blade.
Steller Blade Puts More Emphasis on Designing the Back of the Female Lead
Character designing plays a key role when developing a third-person game where players can all the time see the protagonist during the playthrough. Therefore, the third-person perspective definitely provides players with a larger view of the surroundings but requires more effort in character design. In the demo of Steller Blade, it is evident that Shift Up has put more effort into designing the back side of the protagonist.
In Steller Blade, the back of the protagonist is the most visible part of the character. Therefore, even before the demo was released, Hyung-Tae Kim, the designer of the game revealed that they had put “special attention on the back of the character because the player is always facing the back of the character when they’re playing.”g
This statement and the thought completely make sense. However, in games like Steller Blade, players generally get more excited about the enemy or boss characters than the protagonist.
