“The OG girl boss survivor”: Dead by Daylight Recruits Another Pop Culture Icon in New Collaboration
Putting those archeological skills to the test.
Making its debut more than eight years ago, Dead by Daylight is going stronger than ever even after a less than stellar reception at launch. Not only does Behaviour Interactive stay true to the game’s roots, but it also builds upon them and keeps the longevity going through frequent collaborations with other famous pop culture franchises. Some of these have been expected, such as Chucky from the Child’s Play franchise or even Alan Wake since they fall in a similar genre, but others have been a bit surprising.
The latest collaboration announced by Behaviour Interactive for Dead by Daylight falls in the latter category, but considering how the character is widely regarded as one of the most iconic survivors in the world of video games, it does fit quite well.
Lara Croft Is Joining Dead by Daylight As a Survivor Next Month
Just a couple of days after Lara Croft’s new character design was revealed, Dead by Daylight kept the hype going by announcing the arrival of the iconic archeologist in the game.

Known for her expertise in the realm of survival, the Tomb Raider protagonist will soon have to put those skills to the test in Behaviour Interactive’s world of horror.
Naturally, Lara Croft’s main objective in the game would be to work together with a group of people to survive the Killers’ threats instead of heading into mysterious tombs and trying to find valuable artifacts, as she embarks on an adventure much darker than she may be used to.
Since survival is what the game revolves around, abilities such as fast-paced running, jumping, parkour, and climbing definitely come in handy, and fortunately, Croft checks all those boxes and more with her unmatched experience. It remains to be seen whether the Tomb Raider protagonist will be accompanied by a Killer counterpart or not, but she will be added to the roster in less than a month on July 16.
Tomb Raider Fans Are Ecstatic About the Protagonist’s Inclusion
Even in her own series, Croft has constantly faced life-threatening situations in the form of gunfights and intense encounters.

So her addition to the survivor horror video game feels just right and is naturally getting fans excited about next month.
Some players are already requesting Behaviour Interactive to let them utilize the very best of Croft’s skills, especially with her signature bow and arrow, which would probably come in handy against the terrifying Killers.
Croft is often considered to be one of the most instantly recognizable video game icons out there, as she has served as an entry point for many players’ gaming journeys, so her inclusion in Dead by Daylight comes as a welcome surprise.
Of course, some might argue that there are other survivors who are more well-versed in the horror realm than Croft, but for the most part, it seems like a worthy addition to the ever-expanding roster of Dead by Daylight.
Just last month, Behaviour collaborated with Dungeons and Dragons, and its upcoming collaboration only solidifies its standing in the industry.
