The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is Heading to PC, but You’ll be Waiting a While to Play It
Games going multiplatform seems to become a common phenomenon in 2024. After the announcement of a few Xbox games going to PlayStation 5, players can now hope to get a PlayStation-exclusive series to come on PC. Well, yes, we are talking about one of the most popular PlayStation series, The Last of Us. While across the world players emotionally connect with the journey of Joel and Ellie, except for PlayStation players no one really got the chance to experience their journey. Though The Last of Us Part 1 was released on Windows, no one thought the Part 2 Remastered would come to PC. However, a recent leak indicates that the latter one is going to happen.
A Recent Update Indicates Sony Has Some Surprising Plans About The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered This Year
Initially, when The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered was released, there was no information about this game coming to PC. Even a few weeks back as well leakers have been confirming that this game is far from coming on PC. Within a few weeks, the scenario has changed as Silknigth, a reputed leaker has shared that The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will come to PC soon. He even mentioned that the announcement will be made next month.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered was released on January 19, 2024, on PS5, and like what everyone expected received massive popularity. This game was the remake version of the original The Last of Us Part 2, released in 2020. When this game was released, Sony never stated any intention of bringing it on PC, but as the leak suggests, they have finally decided it. However, Silknigth hasn’t suggested any specific release date on PC; instead, he stated that “There will be a longer-than-usual period between the announcement date and the release day.” This statement clearly indicates that the waiting period will be long.

Though this news is not yet confirmed as Sony has not revealed any details about this release, there’s no valid reason for doubting this leak. Previously, the Remastered and Remake versions of PS5 games used to be their exclusive, but this tradition was broken with the PC release of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Therefore, The Last of Us Part 2 Remake coming to PC can be authentic news.
