The Developers Behind Call of Duty Mobile are Bringing Another Huge AAA Franchise to Our Mobiles
Call of Duty is one of the most popular first-person shooter franchises across the world and platforms. While the COD games are popular on PC and Consoles, they are equally popular on mobile. If you are aware, COD Mobile is generally developed by the TiMi Studio Group, the same developers who are associated with another very popular gaming franchise, which is even an AAA gaming series. For a long time, players have been demanding to get the other series on mobile and finally, World’s Edge and TiMi Studio Group have announced some interesting facts for the players.
A Long Awaited AAA Franchise is Finally Coming to Mobile Devices After COD Mobile
Apart from Call of Duty Mobile, TiMi Studio Group is integrally associated with the development of the Age of Empire franchise. For a long time, this AAA series has been on PC and consoles, but finally, this game is coming on mobile devices, at least that’s what the latest news reveals. After a long wait, the first glimpse of Age of Empire Mobile is already out to enhance excitement among players.
The game is jointly developed by World’s Edge and TiMi Studio Group and the purpose is to bring the original PC version of the game to the Android and iOS devices. The official trailer shows, several features that will give an authentic vibe to the players; such as base-building and PvP battles. Multiplayer is reportedly the major aspect of the mobile version. Precisely, it will include, all-new siege battle gameplay with worldwide players uniting and competing online.
However, the solo players are not neglected at all. Players who are not comfortable playing with others and want to build their empires independently can do that without any trouble. Players can expand their empires, explore dungeons, and gather resources to make their empires stronger.
About the upcoming Age of Empire mobile experience, Brayden Fan, the GM of TiMi, said, “We grew up playing Age of Empires on our PCs and believe we can offer a new but similarly exciting experience for mobile players with Age of Empires Mobile.”
Earnest Yuen, senior director of production at World’s Edge is also excited about their upcoming project, as he stated, “Combining the strategy games expertise and rich heritage of World’s Edge with TiMi’s excellence in mobile gaming, we’re building a brand-new way for players around the world to join the Age of Empires universe.”
The game will be on Play Store and App Store, but the exact date is not yet announced. However, sources assume that Age of Empire Mobile will be released in August 2024.
Previously Microsoft Once Tried to Bring Age of Empire Mobile But Pathetically Failed
This is not the first time, Microsoft has taken the initiative to bring Age of Empire to mobile devices. Instead, they have taken the same initiative in 2013 and handed out the plan to KLabGames. The initial plan was to build a free-to-play mobile version of the Age of Empire game. This collaboration created Age of Empires: World Domination in 2015. Unfortunately, the game failed pathetically and was withdrawn within a year.
Later also, they tried a couple of times to bring a free-to-play version of the game, but the plan never really worked. So, fans are eagerly waiting to check whether, this time World’s Edge and TiMi Studio Group made things work properly.
