The Axis Unseen’s Demo Could Change Third-Person Horror Games (Seriously)
The Axis Unseen can potentially bring a revolution in the third-person horror game genre with its visuals and gameplay concept shown in the trailers.
- The Axis Unseen's release date hasn't yet been stated, but a demo of the game will soon come to let players get slight hints of the gameplay.
- Nate Purkeypile has used his decades of experience in making big titles to develop The Axis Unseen, and the outcome is looking impressive to set an example for others.
- Not only the visuals, but the concept and design of the enemies have contributed to creating the horrific atmosphere of the game.
Indie games are often acknowledged for their creativity and out-of-the-box concepts. These developers often bring such concepts to life that renowned companies can’t go for, considering risk factors. After parting ways with Bethesda, Nate Purkeypile is on his way to prove this fact once again with The Axis Unseen.
This upcoming heavy metal horror game is based on a unique concept of hunting horrific monsters from ancient folklore. Though the release date is not yet announced, Nate stated that it will come in October 2024. Until this point, every glimpse of the game that the developer has shared is enough to consider it one of the finest horror games in recent years.
The Axis Unseen Is About to Set a New Standard for Third-Person Horror Games
With fourteen years of Bethesda experience, Nate is well aware of the gaming audiences and how to keep them happy. While developing The Axis Unseen, he invested all the skills he learned during the making of some iconic Bethesda titles like Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Wastelanders, etc.
This is clearly evident in every single game clip available on the internet. He not only makes the game available for almost every PC with any specification, but he has also added some of the most unique creatures that the gaming world has ever witnessed.
Recently, the developer posted a new video of The Axis Unseen, which is a 10-minute clip of the introductory part of the game. It shows the thrilling and deadly journey of the hunter who died while killing these creatures. His death is the point from where players will begin their in-game journey through the open world and face those same deadly creatures.
Nate Purkeypile stated that the game will now be playable with music included in the gameplay. The most interesting part is that players can experience a short journey through this lethal world next week, as a demo will be released on October 1 on Steam.
The Axis Unseen Has Loads of Elements to Create a Milestone in the Horror Game Genre
The upcoming game brings a perfect blend of horror, folklore, and survival, where the ancient, aggressive monsters will come to life and chase players. His long experience in developing renowned titles has taught Purkeypile multiple things, and among them comes the designing of the in-game environment.
If you have watched the trailers, you can easily spot how strategically he built up the visuals of the game to create the scary atmosphere. While sometimes silence seems dangerous, other times the change in the light effect makes the gameplay frightening. The in-game world shifts from a sun-drenched landscape to a dark forest to create the perfect spooky vibe.
Apart from that, this game is about to introduce one of the largest enemies that the gaming world has ever witnessed. The developer himself confirmed that the game is about to introduce an 846-foot-tall creature. Anyway, he never shared any images of this monstrous enemy.
With this gigantic creature, The Axis Unseen will feature 72 enemies, which will include some variants, 30 Unique enemies, and a few creatures that will show up only once during the gameplay.
Players can wishlist The Axis Unseen on Steam to get a notification when the demo gets released on October 1.
