Taking the gaming industry by storm at launch and for quite a few months that followed, Helldivers 2 quickly garnered a massive player base thanks to a complete revamping of the concept introduced in the original 2015 title. But it has been a while since the Arrowhead Game Studios video game reached the kind of peaks that it was managing earlier this year, with plenty of factors coming into play that have been affecting the overall experience gamers are having defending Super Earth.

However, it seems like even the loyal Helldivers who have stuck around with the game through thick and thin have finally had enough, leading them to protest in the creative way one might only expect from the title’s community.

Helldivers 2 Players Are Reportedly No Longer Stopping the Automatons From Invading Super Earth

Even with the addition of new content involving the bots, Helldivers 2 players do not seem interested in dealing with them.

It has been a rough few months for Arrowhead Game Studios and its smash hit, as many things that could go wrong actually did, resulting in a significant number of the Helldivers 2 player base deciding to leave the game and move on to better experiences.

Unfortunately, even the members of the fanbase who were hoping for the developer to turn things around seem to be getting fed up by its practices, as reportedly, after the releases of numerous patches, players have simply given up and are now letting the Automatons invade Super Earth without any kind of retaliation.

As High Command tries to deal with the situation regarding its soldiers abandoning their posts and making its enemies’ objectives easier to accomplish, it is important to note that it has only been a few days since Arrowhead launched the Escalation of Freedom update.

SUGGESTED: Helldivers 2’s Patch Actually Managed to Get Something Right

What was meant to be a game-changing patch, along with the Freedom’s Flame Warbond that was supposed to make things better, has made many aspects of Helldivers 2 even worse than they were before, causing player frustration and generating the traitorous actions of Super Earth’s army.

Interestingly, many members of the community feel like the third-person shooter’s downfall was already quite apparent after a month or two, as aside from a lack of fresh content, Arrowhead does not seem to be implementing the major suggestions that the player base has been pointing out for a while.

Arrowhead Game Studios Comes Under Fire Once Again for Its Balancing Practices

From weapons being constantly nerfed to the developer avoiding player feedback, perhaps Arrowhead's fifteen minutes are coming to an end.

Just a few months ago, Helldivers 2 found itself surrounded by controversy due to the infamous decision by Sony to force PC players to link their PSN accounts to their Steam ones, and although Arrowhead Game Studios may have survived the initial backlash, it did not come out on the other side completely unscathed.

SUGGESTED: XDefiant Is Suffering From a Recent Helldivers 2 Problem, but Ubisoft Will Struggle to Fix It Like Arrowhead Did

With the kind of resilience that the Helldivers sequel and its strong community of players showed after the unfortunate incident, it has been quite disappointing for the fanbase to witness constant patches that keep ruining the game even further.

The balancing issues have been plaguing the game for a long time at this point, leading players to wonder if the patches that Arrowhead keeps releasing are even necessary for a PvE shooter, as they believe they would have made more sense if Helldivers 2 was a PvP experience instead.

Regardless of whether a player is a newcomer or has been a fan since the first installment, Helldivers 2 has not been doing much to get back into the fanbase’s good graces, and although Arrowhead Game Studios does have the decency to acknowledge community complaints, the developer’s lack of action is not doing the game any favors.
