Star Wars Outlaws has seen a lot of hype surrounding its release with its inspirations and massive open world being obvious draws for Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft’s latest adventure. With a new face for players to meet in the form of Kay Vess, the game promises hours of exploring a world set in the interlude between two of the most iconic Star Wars films to grace the silver screen.
However, the films are not the only place the game takes inspiration from apparently. Several features from other massive open-world games are set to make an appearance in Star Wars Outlaws. While the policing system from Red Dead Redemption 2 was known to be a factor for Kay to consider as she seeks to break away from a life of crime, another great addition from the game has been discovered from early previews of Outlaws.
Exploring the Galaxy in Star Wars Outlaws Gets Even More Exciting
Considering how the Star Wars universe has tons of places that Kay could be visiting in the game, along with a bevy of potential legacy characters she could bump into as she does so, exploring Star Wars Outlaws’ massive world is all set to bring a lot of joy to its players. With the appearance of several crime syndicates that Kay must learn to play off of in order to achieve her own goals, every potential encounter could be to her advantage.
Those advantages could be more organic than initially expected, with early previews of the game highlighting another feature from Red Dead Redemption 2 making its presence felt. Locations and events could suddenly spawn based on Kay’s actions in the game, making her journey feel more organic and grounded for the player on account of how these random events could lead her to nooks and crannies of the galaxy she may not have thought about visiting.
The Journey Is Half the Fun
The addition of random events that influence the game is sure to add a layer of nuance to the gorgeous open world that Massive Entertainment is bringing to its players, along with the ability to admire its beauty on ultra-wide displays from the very beginning.
Player reactions to the post below announcing the latest feather in Outlaws’ cap showcase how much players are looking forward to the game.
One player’s response was particularly good considering how understandable his little error can be for fans of Star Wars.
Other players are cautiously optimistic about the game, hoping that its open world is going to be more than just a checklist of activities for them to tick off.
Another player makes an admittedly accurate comparison to a popular RPG that set a benchmark for the genre that Outlaws could hope to live up to.
With Star Wars Outlaws inching ever closer to its release, players do not have to wait too long to find out if the game lives up to its hype.
But with a list of features this long and good, it’s bound to be an open-world adventure that the galaxy will appreciate, while its shortcomings could be forgiven as long as Kay’s story is compelling enough to justify it.
