SUMMARY
  • Since the game was released, Space Marine 2 has received a few patches to add content or fix issues to make the gameplay better.
  • The 3.0 patch has brought two exciting features, and one of these was promised to be added before September ends.
  • Once again, Tim Willits appeared for an interview and revealed that Space Marine 2's Performance mode will hopefully become much better on PS5 Pro.

Space Marine 2’s surprise bucket has a lot to reveal. Saber Interactive’s CCO Tim Willits, a few days ago, assured players that the developer won’t disappoint them with content in the future, and the team seems to be trying to keep this promise. A list full of new features made its way to the game within 20 days of its release, and two among them have surpassed others.

After Space Marine’s release in 2011, it was a thirteen-year wait before players got Space Marine 2. However, this wait was worth it, considering what Saber Interactive presented them with. While this game is one of the most potent Game of the Year contenders this year, the two latest features boosted the possibility even more.

Space Marine 2 Patch 3.0 Brought Private Lobbies and One Other Exciting Feature

The latest Space Marine 2 update has introduced two exciting features to improve the experience.

Space Marine 2 almost brought all the highly demanded features at launch, except for a few. Fans are happy to see that the developer hasn’t ignored those demands and has added them as updates. On September 26, the game received its Patch 3.0, which has brought multiple new features along with some fixes and adjustments.

Among everything, the first addition that has drawn the attention of fans is the “Ultrawide support for PC.” PC players have been asking for ultrawide support since the game was launched. Saber Interactive assured that it would be added before the end of September, and it kept its promise.

Though the game got a few patches in between, none covered the ultrawide PC support. However, the latest one brought this long awaited feature to Space Marine 2

Aside from that, another newly introduced feature has attracted players’ attention, and that’s the private lobbies for the Operation mode. As the Patch Notes reveals, the private lobbies will prevent random matchmaking during missions. Instead, players can create a lobby to dive into a mission with bots or another teammate.

Private PvE lobbies are indeed attractive for players who want to grind the game for XP. Anyway, there’s more to discover about Space Marine 2.

Tim Willits Hopes That PS5 Pro Will Make Space Marine 2 Better in Performance Mode

Tim Willits hopes that Space Marine 2 will look great in Performance mode on PS5 Pro.

Since its release, Space Marine 2 has been getting loads of new features to surprise players. It has even started its crossover journey with some cool skins for Titus. However, one thing players are still curious about is the game’s performance on PS5 Pro, especially in Performance mode.

PS5 Pro is about to be released on November 7. Therefore, players are all excited to know whether Space Marine 2 will look better with the console’s PSSR feature or not. Replying to this question during an interview, Willits revealed,

what I hope is with the PS5 Pro, with the AI upsampling, that players will be able to play Space Marine 2 in Performance Mode, and it’ll look better, hopefully.”

Anyway, he clearly mentioned that he is not a technical person to say the final words about this matter, but he expects that it will look better on PS5 Pro than it looks now in the Quality mode.
