Solid Snake Himself David Hayter Teases Massive Return in Cryptic Tweet
Metal Gear Solid fans got an update, as David Hayter teased something he is doing, which may be related to their beloved series.
- David Hayter is one of the inseparable names attached to the Metal Gear Solid games since the series started in 1998.
- His latest post teased a project he's working on, which has boosted the hopes of Metal Gear Solid fans.
- Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is also getting some new features.
David Hayter is widely renowned for his contribution to Konami’s Metal Gear series. Starting in 1998 with Metal Gear Solid, Hayter voiced the protagonist of the games until 2010. Therefore, his return concerns all the Solid Snake fans.
Konami has released a few iconic titles throughout the years, but the Metal Gear series is the finest among them. Even in this crowded world of stealth games, the Metal Gear Solid games have been maintaining a steady fanbase who are always ready to dive into these experiences.
David Hayter Is Teasing Something Big
Just like Hideo Kojima and Konami, David Hayter has also been integrally related to the Metal Gear Solid series for years. With the release of Metal Gear Solid in 1998, Hayter’s journey as Solid Snake began, and this renowned actor has voiced this character in every major installment and spin-off.
Now that the remake version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is under development and players have been curiously waiting for each update about the game, David Hayter shared an update with his fanbase on X (formerly Twitter), saying that he was in a booth to play a role that he hadn’t played in recent years.
This created a wave of speculation among Metal Gear Solid fans that the actor is probably talking about his return to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Anyway, Hayter mentioned nothing about what project he’s trying to tease with this specific X post. Maybe it’s about Metal Gear Solid‘s upcoming game, or maybe it’s something different.
Whether Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater includes Hayter or not is not sure, but the game will get some new features and that’s confirmed.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Will Bring Different POVs to Give It a New Touch
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s release date hasn’t yet been stated, but during TGS 2024, the producer of the game Noriaki Okamura sat for an interview, where he talked about a range of topics, including the difficulties in bringing remake versions of Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2.
As the conversation progressed, the interviewer asked him about the new features the team is bringing in for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and in reply, Okamura revealed that in the upcoming game, players will be able to switch between third-person perspective, which will be the “NEW STYLE,” and the “LEGACY STYLE,” the bird’s-eye view.
According to him, the studio has developed the “NEW STYLE” from scratch.
However, players won’t be able to switch between these two styles randomly anytime because these will be closely related to the difficulty of the game.
Even after all this interesting information, the producer of the game refused to talk about the most demanded topic: the release date of the game. He mentioned that Konami wants to give players a polished experience, and that’s the reason behind this delay.
