SEGA is planning something big for Like a Dragon or Yakuza fans. The series began with Yakuza in 2005 and has been running with loads of successful installments. This series has a massive fanbase that grinds these games frequently, and even the latest game in the series, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, has received loads of love from gamers worldwide.
The latest game in this series was launched earlier this year, and the team at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is not ready to delay the momentum. Therefore, it has already teased the future and even started a survey for potential celebrity cameos.
The Next Like a Dragon Game May Feature Renowned Celebrities
Like a Dragon or Yakuza games are some of the widely popular action RPGs that players willingly wait for. Therefore, naturally, SEGA doesn’t want players to lose interest in these games, and as a consequence, it has come up with a unique strategy. It has started a survey for celebrity cameo options, featuring Snoop Dogg, The Rock, Keanu Reeves, etc.
A few days ago, a Reddit user named JohnConquest posted about a survey email he received from SEGA asking him a few questions about Like a Dragon. Additionally, it asked him to share his feelings about celebrity cameos and whether players liked the idea of main characters being voiced by celebrities.
He mentioned that in that mail, a list was attached where multiple celebrities were mentioned, starting from footballer Lionel Messi to Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga, Shohei Ohtani, and multiple others.
Alongside them, it has Reeves, Hamill, Jack Black, Rami Malek, and David Hayter. The list has several other names that players need to rate to let the developer know their opinion about the upcoming cameo.
The Contenders Yakuza Players Want to Get in the Game
The list SEGA has provided players with is extensive, with loads of names, and most importantly, it contains big names from every profession. From footballers to pop singers to baseball players, there are some personalities from every side.
The Like a Dragon series is not at all alien to celebrity cameos and players are familiar with getting renowned personalities in the game. Therefore, as the list appeared, they jumped into expressing which celebrity cameos they had been waiting for.
A lot of players have voted for Snoop Dogg. According to them, he will be the best pick to make his way to the game.
Some players even want to get American actor and comedian Jack Black in the Like a Dragon series.
Though a lot of players have been taking a lot of names, there are still people who don’t want any of these celebrities.
