Rockstar Gets Embarrassed in How to Do a Proper Grand Theft Auto Remaster
After the official GTA Vice City remaster disappointed fans, an unofficial update recently showed how well the game could have been made.
- GTA Vice City is one of the most popular games in the Grand Theft Auto series, but the remastered version of this game disillusioned players a lot.
- GTA fans find Vice City Next-Gen Edition from Revolution Team better than what Rockstar did.
- Rockstar, ignoring all this, released the Halloween update for GTA 5, along with special treats for GTA+ players.
The GTA community is one of the highly active communities, with players, all the time, looking for some leaks or updates. Throughout the years, players received numerous Grand Theft Auto games, and GTA: Vice City is one of the most popular among them. Despite its popularity, players didn’t hesitate to point out to Rockstar Games how the remastered version of this game should look.
Initially, GTA: Vice City was released in 2002, and players loved this game a lot. However, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy—The Definitive Edition was released in 2021 with a remastered version of GTA: Vice City. Recently, another unofficial remastered version was released, and players are now comparing these two and giving the latter preference.
Revolution Team Has Left Rockstar Behind in Making a Proper Remaster of GTA Vice City
Even the biggest fans of the GTA series can’t say that Rockstar did justice with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy—The Definitive Edition. Initially, players were excited about this trilogy, but the disappointment was much more intense than that. The trilogy included some of the most iconic games in the series but messed things up.
The GTA Vice City remastered version players witnessed there was completely disheartening. The improvements were all considered not up to the mark. Though Rockstar released a few updates to manage the situation, they brought negligible changes.
After this disappointment, GTA fans are now eagerly waiting for GTA 6, which is also surrounded by clouds of rumors regarding the game’s delay. In the meantime, Revolution Team’s unofficial remastered version of Vice City has attracted the attention of GTA fans.
The footage that’s been circulating shows the Trojan Voodoo mission of the game, and gamers instantly started comparing it with the official remaster they received in 2021.
Well, it’s pretty clear that “GTA Vice City Next-Gen Edition,” developed by Revolution Team, is far better than Rockstar’s. The visuals are much improved, along with the game’s controls. Frustrated players expressed that Rockstar Games and Grove Street Games couldn’t ever make this improved remastered version. But among all this, Rockstar has prepared its Halloween treats for GTA Plus members this season.
GTA+ Members Are Being Taken on a New Journey This Halloween
The Halloween time is always special, and as soon as October begins, players start getting Halloween updates. On October 3, 2024, Rockstar Games released the Halloween update that players can enjoy in Los Santos.
