Especially, the situation will get worse when players enter the Third Sea of the game. To solve the Yama sword puzzle, players need to meet two criteria:

First, they need to reach at least 1500 levels, and the second is to complete a certain number of Elite Hunter quests or Player Hunter quests. Let’s discuss the criteria step-by-step. Reaching the 1500 level is necessary to enter the Third Sea. So, unless you complete this requirement, you won’t be able to start the Yama puzzle.

The second criterion mentioned above is the key to getting the sword. To begin the process, complete at least 20 Elite Hunter quests or Player Hunter quests. Twenty is the minimum requirement; it will be best if you complete 30 quests. Players can either do all the quests of the same type or they can combine two types of quests to complete them.

This may sound complicated. So, let us explain: you don’t need to complete all 30 Elite Hunter quests or Player Hunter quests. Instead, you can complete 20 Elite Hunter quests and 10 Player Hunter quests, or 15 Elite Hunter quests and 15 Player Hunter quests. No matter how you do it, the total number should be at least 20, or a maximum of 30, to pull the Yama sword out.

The Elite Hunter quest giver will be found in Castle on the Sea, and the Player Hunter quest giver can be spotted near the Palace at Castle on the Sea. If the Elite Hunter quest giver isn’t giving you any quests, try getting one from the Player Hunter quest giver. The bounties the former NPC will give need 9 minutes to respawn. In the meantime, you can try completing a few Player Hunter quests, which will ask you to fight with random players who have PvP enabled.

Once you are done with these, you are eligible to pull the sword. The sword will now accept you. Let’s check out the steps to acquire the Yama sword in the below section.

How to Obtain the Yama Sword in Blox Fruits

After you have completed the puzzle, the rest of the steps are quite easy, and players may find them similar if they have completed the Tushita puzzle and acquired the sword. However, if you haven’t yet received the Tushita sword, follow the instructions. Once the quests are done, make your way to Hydra Island.

Locate the Waterfall, and you have to open the door behind it. Well, opening the door requires the use of Bombs or Ice to break it. Once the door is broken, go inside, and you will see a group of ghosts waiting for you. These enemies are not tough to defeat, especially after you have defeated powerful bosses previously.

Once these ghosts are beaten, you have no further barrier to accessing the Yama sword. Go near it and click on it to pick it up. Well, this is the most crucial part. Clicking on the sword will give you an alert that you can die in the process. If you have completed 30 Elite Hunter or Player Hunter quests, there’s nothing to worry about. 

However, if you haven’t completed it and you are trying to get the sword, your avatar will die with a notification confirming that you are not worthy to get the sword, so the sword has rejected you. On the contrary, if you have completed the quests, the sword will accept you without any issues, and your character will easily pull it out. For players who have done 20 quests, the chance is 50-50.
