Recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Update Gets Undone, and Players are ANGRY
Call of Duty and updates are two different sides of the same coin. Often COD games get new updates that bring some new content. Mostly these updates bring exciting content for the players, but sometimes they buff or nerf the weapon powers. Players sometimes complain about that, sometimes they are fine with everything. Since Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 2 were released, players have been trying to explore all the newly added content, but the latest patch note cut the cord. On February 16, Activision released a patch note that created a wave of anger among the players. The developers have undone a few updates they have introduced in the previous one.
Activision Nerfed a Popular Weapon that Received an Increase of Power on February 13
Since Season 2 of MW3 and Warzone were released, players have been constantly getting surprises from the developers through updates. However, the latest update that these two games have received is different as Activision has nerfed the TAQ Evolvere. Weapons getting nerfed is nothing surprising, but this one made players angry as this weapon received a significant buff only a few days back.
On February 13, Activision released a patch note, where they buffed a few weapons, including Striker 9, WSP Stinger, and TAQ Evolvere. With this buff, the LMG has become one of the strongest and most effective weapons in the games. It soon becomes one of the deadly weapons in the close range. Its movement speed, damage range, fire rate, everything reached a new height. While this increased power shocked players, they have been enjoying it throughout.
However, the developers noticed the immensely increased power of the LMG, and in the latest patch note, they addressed this issue by nerfing the weapon. They fixed the bug that made this weapon a deadly one. For Modern Warfare 3, the nerf was only limited to the ammunition power of the weapon, while it is much more potent when it comes to Warzone. The ammunition is fixed along with damage, range, and upper body damage modifiers.

On X (formerly Twitter) fans have been giving mixed reactions. Some are angry, while some are making fun of the developers for not making up their minds before launching patch notes. However, no one seems to be happy after finding the nerfs.
Though this news is upsetting, thereās some other news to cheer players up.
Upcoming Call of Duty Game Potentially Coming on Game Pass
During a recent episode of the Official Xbox Podcast, the Gaming CEO of Microsoft, Phil Spencer, confirmed that all the games from the first-party studios will come on Game Pass on Day 1. So, Activision being one of the first-party studios, players can hope to get Call of Duty 2024: Black Ops Gulf War on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1.
This news is enough exciting, especially for the players who havenāt tried COD games because of their hefty price tag. However, thereās no confirmation whether Call of Duty will follow this rule or not, as COD games are generally expensive. Whether Activision agrees to bring Call of Duty 2024 on Game Pass on Day 1 or not can only be seen when the game officially releases.
