It has just been a few days since Harry Potter fans got a modern take on their favorite fantastical sport thanks to Quidditch Champions, a new title from developer Unbroken Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Games that serves as somewhat of a successor to the 2003 classic World Cup.

While the game features plenty of familiar characters and iconic locations from all across the Wizarding World, there is still a lot of potential in the amount of content that it can offer its player base, which some might argue is a bit limited right now. Fortunately, the studio behind the sports video game has already teased a terrifying addition to the Quidditch title that only the bravest of souls can even dare to enter.

Despite quite a rocky launch on Microsoft’s Xbox consoles, Quidditch Champions quickly found its footing among the Harry Potter fanbase, turning out to be a much more satisfying take on the sport than players may have initially anticipated.

Keeping the momentum going, Unbroken Studios has already teased an upcoming addition to its sports title that Wizarding World fans must definitely be familiar with, and considering that Halloween is just around the corner and coming next month, the timing could not be better.

Being that one place in the Hogwarts vicinity that students must never go to unless they want to face its many horrifying residents, like werewolves and trolls, the Forbidden Forest is a location that Harry Potter fans may have never thought of playing Quidditch on.

But the Dark Forest is making its way to Quidditch Champions in October, most likely right at the very end of the month when Halloween season officially kicks into gear.

Harry Potter Fans Are Looking Forward to the Dark Forest’s Addition to the Game

There is no shortage of familiar locations in Quidditch Champions, ranging from the simple Weasley’s Burrow and the iconic Hogwarts pitch to the grand World Cup arena, but the darkest pitches available to Harry Potter fans, till now, are the ones with Rain and Cloudy attributes.

Naturally, the Wizarding World fanbase is excited for the Dark Forest to make its Quidditch Champions debut, as it would provide the pitch roster with some much-needed variety to keep the title going in the realm of competitive sports games.

Of course, the inclusion of a location that has always been presented as a frightening place that no one should set foot in is proving to be a huge hit with fans, as it completely fits the Halloween aesthetic and could result in some fun themes in the title.

It remains to be seen whether Unbroken Studios will also add some new familiar faces to the game’s character roster along with the Forbidden Forest, but the constant addition of fresh content can go a long way for a mainly online multiplayer title like Quidditch Champions.
