Santa Monica Studio Will Reportedly Take God of War Players on a Familiar Journey
Since it was started in 2005, the God of War series has received multiple installments, and if players divide them, they will find the games are set into two mythologies. Starting from God of War in 2005 to God of War Ascension in 2013, Kratos defeated the gods from Greek mythology, and after some gap, the series shifted to its second era: the Norse mythology.
Therefore, games that were released in 2018 and later were both set in Norse mythology, where Kratos destroyed all the Nordic gods. This Norse era is still available to new-generation gamers, but the Greek era is not. As a consequence, after God of War Ragnarok received its PC port, players have been looking forward to getting remastered versions of the classic God of War games.
According to a post by Rino, the God of War Greek era is getting remastered by Nixxes, which will reportedly include God of War Ascension and the PSP games. Most importantly, this remaster will come to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series, which will be in 2025.
God of War Fans Are Not Ready to Believe This Rumor
