Nexon has been preparing its biggest project, The First Descendant, for a long time. Finally, on July 2, 2024, the official game launched, and the launch of the game was pretty smooth. However, within a few hours of the game’s initial release, players understood that not everything went smoothly and that a few things still needed the attention of the developer team.

Bugs and errors are kind of an integral part of games. Players can hardly point out a game that has never shown an error, so, following the tradition, The First Descedant has started showing errors within a few hours of its release. Surprisingly, Nexon comes with an immediate fix.

The First Descendant Looks Fine, But a Serious Issue Still Remains to Bother Players From the Beginning of their Experience

The First Descendant has finally been released after a long development process, but still, a bug remains.

In-game currencies play a crucial part in most shooter games, and The First Descendant is in no way different from them. Caliber is the premium in-game currency in the game, and unfortunately, this process of acquisition requires you to spend some real-world money. That’s a common trend in the gaming world, but the issue occurs when players complain of not getting Caliber, even after they purchased it.

Since the game launched, players have dived into the game and started purchasing the premium currency to customize their in-game characters, but the next moment, community groups filled with complaints of not receiving the in-game currency, though the money has been debited.

The issue got serious as it involved real-world currency. Players have paid for something, and they didn’t receive what they paid for. This is serious, and this issue can’t be solved from the players’ side because it seems to be a problem with the server. Some players even reportedly asked for a refund.

Additionally, in-game currencies are part of the core gameplay. So, as the frustration inclines in different social platforms and groups, Nexon soon appears, and they confirm that they are aware of this issue and are trying to speed up the process of delivering Caliber.

Without purchasing in-game currency, players can progress through The First Descendant without much trouble.

New games bring new bugs. Developers are kind of aware of this fact. Even after a thorough run of the beta version, Nexon couldn’t stop the Caliber bug that started ruining the gameplay experience of The First Descendant. However, a recent Twitter post revealed that the developer team has resolved the issue, and now players will receive their purchased caliber within 10 seconds.

Anyway, that’s for the players who purchase them through the in-game shop, but the Twitch bug of getting free Caliber is still going on. Nexon has instructed players to re-enter the in-game shops for prior purchases.

The South Korean developer company even arranged some rewards for the inconvenience they have caused the players. They announced to give: Gold Gain +30% Boost, Kuiper Shard Gain +30% Boost, Descendant EXP Gain +30% Boost, and Weapon Proficiency EXP Gain +30% Boost. However, all these rewards can be received for the next 3 days as an apology to the players.

This gesture of Nexon has touched the hearts of the fans, and many of them asked that other developer companies follow them and learn how to take care of the fans.
