Call of Duty and controversies go hand in hand. Often the games of this series come at the top of the controversy list; sometimes for hackers; otherwise, for the weird decisions that the developers and publishers of the games make. After Season 2 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were released, players have been eagerly waiting for the upcoming Call of Duty game, named, Call of Duty 2024: Black Ops Gulf War.

While the excitement of the game is in the air, the latest leak created a wave of frustration among the players. The newest rumor has revealed something surprising, and annoying at the same time.

Call of Duty 2024: Black Ops Gulf War Is Creating Controversies As the Latest Leak Shed Light on Some Important Aspects

Call of Duty games are one of the most popular battle-royale games over a decade already, and each time a new game comes, players get equally excited about it. Generally, whenever a new COD game comes, it comes with a carry-forward feature, which lets players take their achieved or purchased items to the new game. A recent leak suggests that Call of Duty 2024 will let players take some of the Operators from Modern Warfare 3.

A leaker on his X, posted about the rumor and said, “While nothing is confirmed, I think it would be AMAZING — if it was non-canon/crossover operators only, no campaign characters.” With this, he attached the question of whether other players agree with him.

However, the responses show no excitement; instead, players are getting frustrated hearing this rumor. According to the fans, it must be either all the things they must carry over, or they should have left everything behind. Picking up a few things, especially operator skins, to bring to COD 2024, doesn’t seem to be a good idea to them.

In the comment section, some players replied, “Who cares about canon give me my skins I paid for.

However, this is still a rumor without any confirmation from the authorities. Whether Activision is planning to carry over only some selected Skins to the newest release, or players can carry over other accessories and cosmetics to the Black Ops Gulf War can’t be said at this point. Importantly, when Modern Warfare 3 was released, Activision let players equip weapons and Operators from MW2. So, this time what they are planning is still unsure.

Will John Doe Be Featured in COD 2024: Black Ops Gulf War?

Since the news circulated that Operators from Modern Warfare 3 will become playable characters in COD 2024, leakers and Dataminers are trying to collect news about this issue. A few days back a renowned COD leaker, @SemtexLeaks revealed, “When Season 2 was released, they added John Doe’s Select & Idle animations to the #COD2024/Black Ops Gulf War lobby idle list.” So, according to his assumption, either John Doe is using Call of Duty 2024 animations, or he will be carried over to the Black Ops Gulf War.

However, till now, there’s no news of whether John Doe will be featured in the upcoming game or not. In fact, we are not sure if the weapons will also be shifted to Call of Duty 2024 or not. Until any official announcement comes, things will stay as assumptions and rumors.
