FromSoftware may have gotten extreme levels of popularity thanks to the massive success of Elden Ring, as it was bigger than anything that the developer had ever worked on before. However, there is still one Hidetaka Miyazaki-directed video game that fans of the studio deeply cherish and will always remember as the title that makes one half of the long-running Soulsborne genre.

But since its initial release more than nine years ago, Bloodborne seems to have been abandoned by publisher Sony, and while the fanbase waits for any sort of official news on the continuation of the game in some shape or form, members of the community have taken it upon themselves to keep the Gothic vibe alive.

Elden Ring Mod Puts a Yharnam-Esque Twist on the Game

Graceborne takes the best of both Elden Ring and Bloodborne's worlds, and creates an interesting mashup.

For the FromSoftware fans who miss the Victorian-era inspired city of Yharnam, modder Noctis has brought Bloodborne back to life by turning Hidetaka Miyazaki’s latest video game into a gorgeous version of the PlayStation 4 exclusive title.

While the lore and the world that Elden Ring offers its players is quite intriguing and undoubtedly disturbing at times, it is not the darkest setting that the studio has ever created. That is where Graceborne makes its stellar entrance, as it overhauls the base game “into a more grim and sinister experience,” adding plenty of elements that Yharnam enthusiasts will most likely appreciate.

One such aspect that proved to be a highlight even back in 2015 was the incorporation of trick weapons in Bloodborne, and Noctis’ mod brings them back in a fully functional form. For those unaware, while using these weapons, players could transform them into their alternate forms, adding yet another layer to the gameplay mechanics and combat system.

Running around Elden Ring and attacking the enemies with trick weapons may not have been on the fanbase’s 2024 bucket list, but additions like these are welcome in an already excellent gaming experience.

There Is Plenty of Bloodborne Content That Comes With the Mod

From numerous armor sets to quite a few weapons, Graceborne goes all the way even in its Alpha stage.

Despite still being in its Alpha release stage, Graceborne has plenty of content that it offers Elden Ring players, including 22 armor sets and 35 weapons.

Aside from that, the mod also adds 17 of the aforementioned trick weapons into the 2022 action role-playing game, along with five different firearms.

Players will also be able to perform gameplay mechanics like gun parrying and Bloodborne-style healing, but the standout aspect is how the mod switches up some of the enemies and bosses in Elden Ring, giving them a Yharnam-esque makeover as well.

Community hope about anything Bloodborne-related keeps decreasing with each passing day, but until Sony actually decides to do something with the IP, modders like Noctis are ensuring that Yharnam does not get lost in time.
