“LFG! Definitely going to watch…”: Elden Ring Anime Gets First Look Trailer Leaving Fans Amazed
It may be short, but it packs a punch.
It is definitely a great time to be an Elden Ring fan, as after two years of completely dominating the gaming industry, FromSoftware has launched a massive new expansion for its biggest video game till now. Fresh off the release of Shadow of the Erdtree, players have been revisiting the world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and taking on the numerous challenges it presents, but it turns out that the DLC is not the only Elden Ring content that 2024 may have in store for the title’s huge fanbase.
With the kind of popularity reached by the action role-playing game, it was only a matter of time before the story branched out to other mediums.
The Teaser for the Elden Ring Anime Promises an Epic Adaptation
The video game industry keeps growing, and with it, the concept of titles getting adapted into other mediums has also started to see much more success than it used to not that long ago.
Similar is the case with Elden Ring, a game so expansive and popular that it brought FromSoftware to the forefront of the competition, so it is not exactly a surprise that other talented creators are taking inspiration from what Hidetaka Miyazaki has managed to accomplish. With anime now becoming a relatively more accepting medium for general audiences, Steins Alter Productions has taken it upon itself to recreate the iconic tale into a spectacular animated form.
The short teaser trailer for the upcoming project promises stellar animation quality and a fresh take on the Elden Ring lore, with boss cameos that fans of the game will instantly recognize. Set to be a five-minute anime, the footage also puts Malenia, Blade of Miquella in the spotlight, complete with her familiar voice and lines.
Steins Alter will launch the Elden Ring anime in just a few months, as the project is scheduled for release in Fall 2024, which is naturally subject to change due to how much Patreon support it will garner.
Fans Are Looking Forward to Miyazaki’s World Being Adapted
Even in the base game, Elden Ring had the advantage of having an extremely detailed lore created by A Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin.

So, naturally, the fanbase of the title is really looking forward to it being translated into another fresh medium.
With the excitement levels for the anime increasing because of the teaser, the only issue seems to be the project’s final short runtime, but considering how it is a small-scale effort, that was to be expected.
Regardless, the Elden Ring anime looks like an interesting spin on the video game’s world, and it has the potential of reaching an even wider audience to keep the title alive years after its initial release.
With a potential film adaptation also a possibility in the future, it seems like FromSoftware’s magnum opus is not losing its momentum anytime soon.
