While holding a grenade until it explodes may go against every instinct a player in such games might have, it’s evident that this player’s strategy works.
With zero consequences and a whole lot of benefits, their idea has struck a chord with many other Helldivers 2 players.
Some players even chime in with real-world examples of how this approach could work.
Other players shared their own experiences with this hack, showcasing how it trivialized many mission types for their squads.
As it turned out, a certain smoke-related Stratagem could even take out Automaton Fabricators, a crucial part of missions involving the menacing robots.
Other players suggested ways to make this strategy even more effective.
The conversation even moved to other grenade types that players could use to sow chaos among enemy ranks.
One could argue that the reason for Helldivers 2’s success comes from a loyal player base that just can’t get enough of the game. However, that doesn’t mean that Arrowhead should rest on its laurels.
Indeed, it is all the more reason for the studio to give its fans more mission types and enemies to take on which could potentially create the scope for more innovative strategies as they combine the new and old to find ways to keep fighting the good fight.
But until then, it looks like Helldivers 2 players will continue to make the most out of what they have as they wait for the next big update to the game.
