Astro Bot Shares Similarities With One Renowned Nintendo Game

Astro Bot has gotten into controversy, as Nintendo players claim that it’s copied from the Super Mario series.

In the console gaming market, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo have been fighting for years. When the fight is hard, there will be disputes for sure, and a similar scenario appeared after the latest 3D platformer game was released.

Since announced, Astro Bot has been preparing PlayStation 5 players for a new galactic adventure. Now that the adventure is on, one Nintendo Switch fan brought to light the similarities between Nintendo’s Super Mario and PlayStation’s Astro Bot, and asked the PS5 players not to be hypocritical.

PlayStation players often slander or troll Nintendo and other consoles for even silly reasons; this time, with Astro Bot, Nintendo Switch players got the upper hand as the clip reveals that the 2024 PS5 game shares multiple similarities with the Super Mario series, including the colorful world and some of the moves. Even a few other Nintendo games share some similarities with this latest PS5 game.

Though some Astro Bot fans argued that it’s inspiration, it seems like the Nintendo players are not ready to listen to this.

As they got some chance to troll PlayStation, some Nintendo fans expressed that Sony was never good at making original games.

Well, not only Nintendo players, but someone else is also not happy with PlayStation and Astro Bot

Days Gone Director John Garvin Isn’t Happy Seeing the Bot Version of His Game’s Protagonist

Among the popular Astro Bot cameos, the Days Gone protagonist also made his way, but the director didn’t like it.

Astro Bot has brought a lot of interesting gameplay aspects to players, and among them come the bot cameos. PlayStation has added little bot versions of loads of renowned characters, including Kratos, Jin Sakai, Atreus, Mimir, Joel Miller, etc.

Among them comes the protagonist of Sony’s 2019 action-adventure game, Days Gone. It received average reception from PS players, and to date, there’s no news of the game getting a sequel. While cameo characters are nothing exceptional, Days Gone‘s director John Garvin wasn’t ready to find Deek as a bot.

On September 7, the director of the game expressed his sadness for the protagonist becoming a part of another game’s promotion. He even congratulated Bend Studio sarcastically for this.

When players started mocking him for being harsh because the game didn’t get popularity like Astro Bot and hasn’t yet received a sequel, he clearly expressed his resentment about his character getting reduced to a bot.
