How to Get the V-R11 Wonder Weapon in MW3 Zombies

MW3 Zombies has brought loads of new content to the game. The Call of Duty games are already renowned for their wide range of weapons and the Zombies mode has taken it to new heights by bringing back the unique Wonder Weapons. These are some of the best weapons in the game and their acquiring process is more challenging than players could have thought. While the game already had Ray Gun, Wunderwaffe DG-2, and Scorcher, the Season 1 update has introduced a new Wonder Weapon in MW3 Zombies – the V-R11.

Wonder Weapons are the latest craze in Call of Duty, but they are among the rarest weapons to find on the battlefield. Sometimes they require hard work to be obtained, otherwise, that’s pure luck to get one. Naturally, players will get confused about how to get the V-R11 in MW3 Zombies. So don’t worry if you are still unaware of the process, because it is natural. The acquiring process of V-R11 is pretty different from others.

Before progressing further and talking about the acquiring process of V-R11, let’s check why players should have it.

V-R11 Wonder Weapon Effects in MW3 Zombies

The latest Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 update has brought this new Wonder Weapon to give players a different experience. The effect of the gun can surprise anyone as it can turn zombies into humans and opponents into friendly zombies. Isn’t it amazing? This will make the survival process a lot easier. Whenever you are struggling to deal with a group of zombies or other player squads, use the V-R11 to turn them into allies. This will solve most of your issues, especially in the high-threat zones.

Another benefit that players will get if they have V-R11 is, with this weapon, if they get shot, they will get buff. This may sound confusing. So, let me explain, if you are playing with teammates and you shoot your allies with V-R11, nearby zombies will ignore them for some time and your teammates will get a slight buff. This feature will be extremely helpful while trying to complete objectives on time. That’s another exciting part that will motivate players to possess this weapon.

Like most other Wonder Weapons, V-R11 is tough to acquire. Though there are multiple ways to get it, none of them guarantee the drop of V-R11. However, below we have listed all the methods one-by-one:

Find Mystery Boxes

Mystery Boxes are one of the most convenient ways to find V-R11. These boxes are like loot caches, that contain valuable items. The spawn location of the boxes and the spawn of the rewards inside them are completely random. None can say where will the Mystery Box spawn and what you will get inside it. Fortunately, they are hidden. Players can easily find their locations on the map.

To find Mystery Boxes, open your tac-map, and you will see chest icons on it. Head to the location and open the box before anyone else does. The loot inside it will be valuable for sure, but may not be a V-R11. If you are lucky, you can get the weapon on your first try, otherwise, you will have to take a few chances to get it.

Complete Missions/Contracts in Dark Aether

The next method to get a V-R11 is to complete contracts in Dark Aether. Dark Aether is one of the most complicated sections of the game to survive, but if you complete contracts there, the reward rifts will give you the most valuable loot, including Classified Schematics and V-R11. However, this process is again random. No one knows which contract will open the rift to get V-R11.

Additionally, if you are trying to complete missions in Dark Aether, make sure to have level 3 Pack A Punch weapons and suitable perks to defeat the non-stop waves of level 3 zombies and powerful bosses.

Complete Red Zone Missions

As you spawn on the map, you will see on your tac-map a few areas are marked with red circles. These are the high-threat zones where you will encounter the most powerful zombies. But completing contracts in this zone will reward players with the most valuable loot. V-R11 can also be acquired like this. Anyway, like the other two methods, this is also based on your luck.

Reward Rifts are always random. So, the items can’t be predicted. If you are lucky, you can have it after completing the first mission there; otherwise, you may not have it even after doing multiple contracts.

Defeat the Gorm’gant Boss

If you have been doing the Act 4 Bad Signal missin, the V-R11 drop will be gurenteed if you can defeat the Gorm’gant boss. This is the only guaranteed way to get this weapon. This mission has two objectives to complete and to do them, players must visit Dark Aether for a brief span. After completing the first objective, when players reach the location of the marked exit portal, the Gorm’gant boss will spawn.

Without defeating it, there’s no way to access the exit portal, so the fight is mandatory. But if you manage to take the boss down, it will drop V-R11.

How to Craft V-R11 in MW3 Zombies?

Most of the Wonder Weapons can be crafted using Schematics. For example, the Wunderwaffe or Ray Gun can be crafted if you have the schematic. So, even if you are not able to find the weapons, you have an option to craft them. Unfortunately, that’s not an option for V-R11 for now. V-R11 can’t be crated using schematics. If you are looking for a V-R11, the only way to have it is to find it through any of the above-mentioned methods. This also poses some restrictions, like you can’t build it as many as you want.

Once you add it, you can come back with it in the next matches and encounter some of the biggest bosses of the game.
