Skull and Bones is one of the most awaited Ubisoft games of this year. Therefore, as soon as the open beta launched, players jumped into the game to explore the storyline of the game. As an action-adventure game, Skull and Bones makes players pirates and assigns them activities where they need to use their skills and the given resources to overcome all the obstacles.

So, different weapons are required and Crowbar is one of them. Fortunately, the crowbar can be found earlier in the game but there’s a little twist in the process. So, if you are among those who are looking for it, but are not sure where is the crowbar, this guide will help you know the location and the acquiring process in detail.

Crowbar Acquiring Process in Skull and Bones

The crowbar is one of the earliest tools to get in the game. As create your character and start your journey in Skull and Bones, you will eventually go through the opening scene of the game. Here you will find yourself in a small boat with a few pirate teammates. However, soon your ship encounters a wreck and your crewmates will pull you out of it. At this point, you will get a new ship to start your journey and a quest marker will show you where to travel.

The new island you reach is the first destination of the game called the West Island. This island is full of pirates and even a Pirate Chief. He is the one you need to interact with but, in the meantime, you must have noticed that the sinking ship has a part that needs a crowbar to open. Initially, you can’t do anything, so just make your way forward and look for the Pirate Chief.

The Pirate Chief won’t be happy encountering you. However, he will assign you the first mission of the game, named A Pirate’s Deal. This mission requires you to get Kingpin’s Contraband and you will receive the crowbar along with a few other items.

A Pirate’s Deal Quest

If you are trying to get the crowbar, you need to complete the first quest of the game and look for the contraband you are asked to get. If you are still unsure of what to get, let me tell you, the contraband requires you to get six Explosive Firearms and six Opulent Rum. These items are nothing challenging to find and, players can easily get them near the West Island.

To get these items, you need to make your way to the north of the Exeter shipwreck. These are found in the waters. The location is not too far; instead, it can be found around 500 meters away. To be precise, as you progress, you must locate the destroyed Cargo. Go near the broken Cargo and roam near each of them. There will be three pieces of Cargo to loot. Once you approach a Cargo, press the instructed button, based on your platform and you will collect the loot. Among these loot, you will get the items required to complete the quest. There’s nothing else to do.

Once you collected the items, get back to the West Island and talk to the Pirate Chief. This interaction will finish your quest and you will get the crowbar as a reward, along with Planks and Fish.

While you are in the water and roaming around the Shipwreck, to look for the contrabands, you need to watch out for the enemies. Well, you can probably guess the greatest threat that you need to be careful of, is the Sharks. Sharks are violent predators in the game and at the initial stage, when you are looking for the Kingpin’s Contraband, you don’t have powerful weapons to fight them. Players only have their wooden spears at that point. You can throw them to scare the sharks, but that won’t be any permanent solution. So, collect the loot faster and once you get the alert that you have got the required items, immediately get back to the island.

Now that you have the crowbar, go to the drowned ship and interact with the section that requires a crowbar to be opened. As you interact, you will enter a mini-game which will let you enter the Exeter and get the information about how to reach Saint-Anne.

How to Use Crowbar in Skull and Bones?

Now that you have the crowbar, you need to know what you can do with it. Crowbar can’t be called a weapon, but it is a tool that will help you reach the climax of your Pirate Journey. Once you get the crowbar, you need it throughout the gameplay to make your way through the wrecks of the ships and salvage items. It will be your key to enter locked or unreachable areas in the game.

Interestingly, after you get the crowbar, the next quest you will get asks you to use the crowbar and break into the sinking ship that you have already spotted during your journey to the West Island.

Using Crowbar in Skull and Bones

That’s everything you need to know about the crowbar and its acquiring process in Skull and Bones. One thing you need to know is that the Crowbar you initially get is a basic tool that can’t help you after you progress a little further. In that case, you have to upgrade the crowbar from time to time and it can reach level 5.

Additionally, let me tell you, that Crowbar is not the only tool you get in the game. Instead, as you progress through the story and complete quests, you will eventually get other tools like Spyglasses, Sickles, Pickaxes, Saws, etc. All these items help you with different tasks in the game- Pickaxes help you with harvesting ores and deposits, Saws, help you to harvest wood, Sickles will harvest fiber from wood, etc. All these are upgradeable equipment and whenever you get the chance you must upgrade them to increase their effectiveness.

The game will be released on February 16th, 2024, but until February 12, players can enjoy the free open beta of the game.
