Aether Blade is a newly introduced weapon in MW3 Zombies. So, most players are confused about its role and use. Among the three Classified weapons, Aether Blade is a lethal weapon that can surpass all in effectiveness. It looks like a regular knife, but this immensely powerful weapon can wipe out a group of zombies. So, don’t take it lightly. It can be your savior in difficult situations.

Additionally, unlike other lethal weapons, once you throw it, the Aether Blade will do its work and return to you. This feature makes it an unavoidable companion, that you can use infinite times to clear out your way. It is especially useful when you’re trying to exfil with some valuable item or schematic.

Now that we are sure of the use of Aether Blade, let’s check out the location. The name of the item itself reveals where you can get it; It’s the Dark Aether. The most dangerous and mysterious realm to explore. The process to enter the Dark Aether is the most complicated one. Players must first, complete activities to get the four key items: Locked Dairy, Dog Collar, Surveillance Camera, and Pill Bottle. Next, these items should be upgraded into Gold Rarity to be placed on the designated pedestals. All these mentioned items can be found through a specific process. You can’t have them randomly anywhere.

If you are looking for the Locked Diary, you must complete the Act 4 Bad Signal mission. There’s no alternative to have it. Next, the Dog Collar must be acquired by killing a Hell Hound. Place a meat chunk and a Molotov inside a Dog House. As soon as it explodes, you will get a Dog Collar. Coming to the Pill Bottle, it requires you to kill a Cyst inside Aether Nests, using a Brain Rot Ammo Mod, and finally, the Surveillance Camera can be found by equipping a Dead Wire Ammo Mod and destroying a Harvester Orb. Next, your task is to upgrade them to gold rarity.

That’s not all. There’s another thing that is key to enter Dark Aether: Elder Sigil. This item is different than regular sigils and can only be acquired by completing contracts in the high-threat zones. But, remember, the drop rate is random. Therefore, we can’t guarantee which contract will give you Elder Sigils.

Once you have an Elder Sigil, go to the Dark Aether Rift and place it on the pedestal to activate the rift. Once you enter the Dark Aether Rift, next, you have to look for the Aether Blade schematic.

How to Collect Aether Blade Schematic in MW3 Zombies?

If you have been grinding the MW3 Zombies for a long time, you must be aware that the Dark Aether is the most dangerous section of the map. This parallel realm is full of high-tier zombies and bosses. So, completing tasks in Dark Aether is much more challenging to do than saying. But if you are looking for an Aether Blade, you don’t have any other option. The classified Schematics can be found as rewards for completing contracts.

To get the Classified Schematics, players need to complete three Dark Aether contracts. It’s not that each of them requires you to do three contracts, but the catch here is the classified schematics drop randomly. If you are lucky, the first contract you complete will give you the Aether Blade. But, if not, then you have to complete the remaining two and it’ll be in one of those.

It may not sound challenging as the entire Urzikstan map is full of different contracts that you can complete in the high, medium, and low threat zones. But the thing is different when it comes to the Dark Aether. All the zombies are there level 3 or 4 enemies that you can’t handle casually. Therefore, completing contracts here can be a challenging task to accomplish.

However, all three contracts are marked on the map and you will find blue bunnies at every location. Pick it up to start the contract. Completing the contracts is in your control but not the rewards. So, we recommend completing all three contracts in one go and getting all the classified schematics together.

At this point, players must note that collecting the schematics is not the only thing you should do. Instead, players must exfil safely with these items to add them to their inventory. That’s the same for each schematic. So, once you get the Aether Blade schematic, you have to look for the exfil portals. One exfil portal you will find under the central fortress and another is located at the top of the fortress. Use any of them to exfil safely.

Another thing that players should make sure that they haven’t died a single time during this process. Unless they will lose the schematics and have to start from the beginning. To ensure this part, we recommend bringing a few teammates. They will back you up and can revive you whenever needed. Also, with their help, you can easily deal with the zombies and reach the exfil portal.

Now that you have exfilled safely, check your Classified section of inventory to see if the Aether Blade Schematic has been added or not. Once it is added, you can now go to the Schematic Crafting tab and craft Aether Blade. There’s a catch, though. Like the Wonder Weapons, the Classified items have a 48-hour cooldown time, which means after crafting a Classified item, you have to wait for 48 hours to craft the next.

And there you have it, that’s all you need to know to get Aether Blade in MW3 Zombies!
