Aloy’s Armor Location in the Ghost of Tsushima: How to Access the Forbidden Shrine?

The Forbidden Shrine is a mysterious location added to the game after the initial release of the base game. To reach the location, players first need to make their way to Iki Island, and from there, start progressing towards the northern side of the island. Once you reach the northernmost part of the island, you will find yourself on the Raider Promontory. That’s the destination players have been looking for.

The location can be accessed from two other areas. First, if you are at Fort Sakai, make your way to the northwest side to reach Raider Promontory. Next, if you are in Sly Hunter’s Forest, proceed towards the north side to reach your destination. The Raider Promontory is full of raiders. Take them down, and once you clear out the location, you will eventually find the giant statue. That’s the Forbidden Shrine. How to Solve the Puzzle and Locate Aloy’s Armor in Ghost of Tsushima

Once you receive the riddle, the next and most important part is to decode it. Well, the game is not going to help players understand the meaning of this riddle or solve it. Therefore, it is natural that players only roam around the shrine without any clue to solve this puzzle. The archer mentioned in the riddle is probably Aloy from the Horizon series, but for now, you have to use your in-game archer to find the solution.

To begin with the process, go to your inventory and equip the Tadayori’s armor. If you have reached this far, you should have the armor in your gear menu, but if you don’t have it, it’s okay. Equipping Tadayori’s Straw Hat will also work. So, you have to bring at least one of these two items with you to locate Aloy’s armor. Tadayori’s armor can be acquired pretty early in the game by completing The Legend of Tadayori mythic tale. 

Once you equip the armor or the hat, players will gain the legendary focus ability of Tadayori. Press the prompted buttons to use the focus ability and reveal the weak points of the statue. Look closely, and you will see the three glowing spots on the statue; two are in front of it, and the third one is at the backside. 

Take out your bow and arrow and shoot these points. You can shoot at these points in any order. The sequence doesn’t matter; what matters is that your arrow hits the weak spots of the statue. Once you successfully hit all three spots, the riddle is solved, and players will receive a cutscene that shows that Jin is bowing down in front of the statue, wearing the desired armor. From that point, the Tadayori’s armor will receive an alternate skin that gives Jin a matching set with Aloy. So, precisely, Aloy’s armor is not a separate armor set to get in Ghost of Tsushima.
