Since Horizon Forbidden West’s PC port was released, the popularity of the game received a significant buff. Being the sequel of one of the massively popular games Horizon Zero Dawn, the game has taken the story and the gameplay mechanics to a new level. The game indeed features a range of weapons but not all are equally good. So, players need to know the best weapons in the game; undoubtedly, they are Legendary weapons. Horizon Forbidden West- How to Get Legendary Weapons?

Currently, the game has nine legendary weapons that are the best ones for Aloy to progress through the game smoothly. Below we will discuss all their acquiring process and stats.

Ancestor’s Return

Ancestor’s Return is a Legendary Shredder Gauntlet which requires players to have a lot of skills and practices to be used effectively. This weapon comes with three different ammo types: Shock, Acid, and Tear. Of course, as a legendary weapon, players can’t expect it to be found easily in the game. So, players who want to acquire it must complete all nine of the Relic Ruin challenges and collect nine ornaments from the Relic Ruins scattered throughout the world. Next, give them to the Stemmur in the Hidden Ember. 

Once players have done these activities properly, they will get a chest with Ancestor’s Return inside. 

Carja’s Bane

The second legendary weapon we are going to discuss is the Carja’s Bane, which is a warrior bow that deals Tear and Fire damage. Legendary weapons can assumed to be challenging to acquire, but this one is probably the hardest to get. If you want to get Carja’s Bane, you need to complete all four Gauntlet Races. 

These races are challenging and require some talent to be completed. Otherwise, completing these races will be much more challenging than players can assume. 

Tinker’s Pride

Tinker’s Pride is one of the best legendary weapons to find in the game. This is a legendary tripcaster that deals explosive damage that can leave enemies vulnerable at the beginning of the fight. Additionally, it has a perk that deals damage over time which makes the use of this weapon more effective. This weapon even has a defensive perk and is probably the only weapon that protects players while dealing massive damage to the enemies.

However, the acquiring process is a bit troublesome. To obtain it, players need to complete 12 Hunting Ground Trials and each of them should be completed with full stripes. Well, the trials are not challenging, but getting full stripes in all of them seems to be something difficult.

Death Seeker’s Shadow

Another legendary hunter’s bow that can deal Tear and Shock damage. Arguably, this one is better than other legendary hunter bows and can be accessed pretty early. What is the most attractive part of using this bow is the Targeting Hunter Arrows which make the machine to be attacked by other machines when this bow hits it. Therefore, challenging fights can instantly become easier. 

The acquiring process is a bit different than the ones you have seen until now. To get Death Seeker’s Shadow, players need to head to a battle arena or hunting ground and purchase it with 80 medals at The Maw of the Arena from the Prize Master. 

The Sun Scourge

This is another legendary hunter’s bow to deal Fire, Frost, and Acid damage to enemies. Well, undoubtedly, this one is the most versatile bow to deal different elemental damage and that’s the reason for players being able to use it in different situations. This weapon is specifically deadly for small and medium machines. 

The obtaining process is a bit lengthy. Players need to clear all the Rebel Camps in the Forbidden West, and once they have killed all the enemies of the five Rebel Camps, a side quest will appear which will task them to clear First Forge, which is the final Rebel Camp. Completing this activity will reward players with The Sun Scourge.

Forgefall

Forgefall is the legendary sharpshot bow to launch powerful plasma attacks. Well, sharpshot bows are a kind of sniper to deal damage from a distance. Therefore, if you are looking for long-range combat, this one should be your first choice. However, apart from plasma attack, this weapon deals the best Tear damage. 

Again, this one requires you to spend some hard-earned medals to purchase Forgefall at the Maw of the Arena from the Prize Master.

The Blast Forge

The Blast Forge is a legendary Boltblaster that can deal high-impact, armor-piercing bolt damage to machines. The blots it throws can pierce through the armor of the enemy. Apart from that this weapon also has explosive ammo to destroy machine parts. If you can freeze a machine and then use this weapon, it will deal the maximum damage.

To acquire the Blast Forge, players need to purchase it using medals from the Prize Master at the Maw of the Arena. 

Wings Of The Ten

This is a legendary Blastsling that can deal explosive damage and adhesive damage. These are especially helpful when players are dealing with small or medium-sized machines. Using this weapon will slow the enemies allowing players to deal massive damage.

To acquire Wings of The Ten, players need to retrieve the 12 Black Boxes found around the world of Forbidden West and then return them to Untalla in The Memorial Grove. Once you return them all to the NPC, you will receive the weapon as a reward.

The Skykiller

The name reveals that this is a must for taking down the flying enemies. Skykiller is a spike thrower weapon and among the most unique weapons to find in the game. If you can properly aim it at the enemy, it can take down any flying enemy. This weapon tears up the large machines without any trouble. 

However, this unique weapon can’t be accessed easily in the game. For this players need to complete a level 32 quest named, The Way Home. In this mission, players need to help Harriem and Kristia at the Legacy’s Landfall settlement. Once the objective is completed, players will acquire the legendary weapon.
