Elden Ring is a massive and complex game featuring an open world where players can roam according to their wishes. Though the main story of the game takes players to certain locations to perform specific activities, there’s no definite ending. In more than 70 hours of gameplay, players can choose to do anything and explore almost every corner of the Lands Between without any restriction. The ways Tarnished chooses at certain junctures will lead him to an ending accordingly.

Maintaining the tradition of FromSoftware’s Soulsborne titles, Elden Ring features six endings that players can get based on their gameplay methods. However, the catch here is that if you are not sure how to reach these endings, you may not be able to experience all of them. So, in this guide, we will discuss all six endings of Elden Ring and how to reach them.

How to Get All Endings in Elden Ring

All six endings of the game depend on whether you beat a boss or complete a specific questline for an NPC. Of course, six endings require at least six runs through the game, and each time, players need to experiment with the activities that they skipped during the last try to get a new ending. For a clear idea, let’s check out the endings and how to get them:

Ending 1: Age of Fracture

Select the “Mend the Elden Ring” to get the Age of Fracture ending in Elden Ring.

Age of Fracture is the default ending, where Tarnished takes the throne and becomes Elden Lord. There’s nothing to experiment with if players are looking for this ending. Playing the game simply and completing the main story will automatically take you to the ending. As soon as you defeat Radagon, Elden Beast, and choose “Mend the Elden Ring,” Tarnished will become the new Elden Lord, and a new era will begin with that.

This is a good ending, but this is the most predictable one that everyone will reach once they beat all the world bosses during their journey and hit the climax scenes. This is not the hidden ending of the game.

Ending 2: The Age of Duskborn

The Age of Duskborn ending can be reached if players focus on collecting the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince.

The Age of Duskborn is a hidden ending to the game that can only be achieved if players meet certain criteria. This ending is related to Fia’s questline. This questline will begin in the Roundtable Hold. When you meet her there, keep her close to you until she asks for a favor. With this, the questline will begin, and eventually, it will coincide with Ranni’s questline. Progress through Ranni’s questline until you get the statue to invert Carian Hall. This will give you access to Mending Rune of the Death-Prince.

Once you have the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince, use it after the final boss fight instead of choosing to “Mend the Elden Ring.” Doing this will show your character to take the throne. This is one of the good endings of the game. Though this ending seems to be similar to the previous one, in this ending, the curse of immortality ends.

Ending 3: The Age of Order

Age of Order can be considered one of the good Elden Ring endings.

Age of Order is another Elden Lord ending of the game that players will unlock if they complete Brother Corhyn and Goldmask’s questlines. This ending will begin when you interact with Brother Corhyn in Roundtable Hold and follow him up on it after meeting him again in Altus Plateau. The next activity is to find the Goldmask from the broken bridge in the northern part of the Altus Plateau.

After this event, the next place players will find Brother Corhyn in is Leyndell, Royal Capital. Keep following the questline until he is found for the last time in Mountaintops of the Giants. Once the mask turns into ashes, get back to Leyndell and collect the Mending Rune of Perfect Order

This is another rune that players can use after the final boss fight and skip the option “Mend the Elden Ring.” Using the Mending Rune of Perfect Order will restore the Lands Between as it was.

Ending 4: The Age of Despair

Age of Despair is considered the worst ending the game has. Still, trying it once has no harm.

This is the final Elden Lord ending players can have in Elden Ring. This ending is related to the Dung Eater questline. Unlock the door next to the Twin Maiden Husks to have the first interaction with the Dung Eater. If you give the Dung Eater a Seedbed Curse, you will achieve the Sewer-Gaol Key in return.

Eventually, you will receive his questline, where you have to collect Seedbed Curse from different locations, including Leyndell, Royal Capital, Volcano Manor, and Miquella’s Haligtree, and find the Dung Eater at Subterranean Shunning-Grounds to hand these seeds over to him.

As soon as you give these seeds to him, he will give you the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse to use after the final battle of the game, and the next cutscene will show that Lands Between is getting a terrible curse. So, this ending is not at all considered a good one.

Ending 5: Lord of the Frenzied Flame

Three Fingers embrace Tarnished to lead him to the Lord of the Frenzied Flame in Elden Ring.

This is a hidden ending of the game that will trigger after players find the three fingers in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. Once you are at the location, beat Mohg, the Omen, and destroy the wall behind the altar. This will reveal a secret passage to go to the bottom of the room. Next, you will arrive at the Frenzied Flame Proscription Site of Grace.

After resting there, ignore the words of the maiden and make your way to the end of the hall. There, you will find a door that can only be opened after you remove your armor completely. Meet the Three Fingers inside, and they will embrace you. Follow the upcoming events and make Hyetta your maiden. Now, once you defeat the final boss, choose to be “Lord of the Frenzied Flame” instead of Elden Lord. This is arguably the worst ending Elden Ring features.

Ending 6: The Age of the Stars

Summoning Ranni at the end of the game will lead players to the Age of the Stars ending.

This is the final ending to achieve in the game, and it can be triggered by completing Ranni’s questline. This questline starts with players visiting the Three Sisters subregion in the game and meeting Ranni the Witch at Ranni’s Rise. Ranni’s questline is going to be one of the largest questlines of the game, including several boss fights and other activities to finally reach her at the Moonlight Altar.

Once this questline is completed, progress towards the climax of the game and beat the final boss. This ending will be a little different. Look for the blue summing icon to summon Ranni. When she appears, she will be the new Queen of the Stars, and you will be her eternal consort. This ending can’t be called good, but still, it is a fair one, arguably.

These are the endings to get in Elden Ring. There can be a few more endings hidden, but we have no clue of their existence until now. However, this game is too complicated, especially the boss fights.
