How to Get All Dark Aether Keys (Season 1) in MW3 Zombies

For the first time in Call of Duty history, the Modern Warfare franchise has received the Zombies mode. The introduction should be special and to make it so, the developers have added numerous Easter Eggs. Unfortunately, a few of them can be found inside the Dark Aether. So, going to Dark Aether is necessary and once you are inside, you have to find the Dark Aether keys to access some valuable rewards. Therefore, if you are trying to open the locked doors of Al Bagra Fortress and trying to figure out how to get all Dark Aether keys, this guide will help you with the entire process.

The Dark Aether is a parallel universe created in MW3 Zombies. With the rift functioning as a connection between these two realms, players can transport to Dark Aether anytime if they have required items. So, before we proceed to give you the locations of the Dark Aether Keys, let’s check out how to enter Dark Aether.

How to Enter the Dark Aether Rift in MW3 Zombies

The rift is always present on the map, but to enter it, you must activate it. The process doesn’t seem complicated, but it is one of the toughest processes in the entire game. Players need to complete different challenges and collect the four keys: Locked Diary (players can get it by completing the Act 4 Bad Signal mission), Pill Bottle (Shoot a cyst while equipping Brain Rot Ammo mod), Surveillance Camera (Destroy a Harvester Orb while equipping Dead Wire Ammo mod), and Dog Collar (Kill a Hellhound inside the Dog House and you will get the Dog Collar).

Once these four key items are found, upgrade them to gold rarity by going to an Aether Tear and progressing toward a Gold Rift. Complete the purple-marked challenges to upgrade the key items. You have to upgrade all of them separately. Next, you need to get a Sigil. These items can be found by completing missions in the high-threat zones. Finally, after placing all these items, players must participate in a voting process to enter Dark Aether. Now that you have done all these steps to enter Dark Aether, it is natural that you will try to explore the parallel dimension properly. But you will locate a few locked doors in Al Bagra Fortress. These doors will take you to some valuable loot, so, it is natural that you will look for the Keys. Below we will discuss the key locations one by one.

Dark Aether Key- Al Bagra Munitions Storeroom Key

If you are looking for the Al Bagra Munitions Storeroom key, the process requires you to fight a lot of zombies and show some parkour skills. This key will be found on the top of the second large pillar, next to the middle building. The process may not sound challenging, but it is a bit complicated to reach the location. Upto the first pillar, where you will get Al Bagra Officer Quarters key the way is still convincing. After that, players have to make their way by jumping on the flying vehicles that are placed at a distance from each other. That’s risky. But use your parachute to reach the second pillar and you will get the key.

Anyway, there’s an easy location as well. If this one seems impossible to you, make your way to the west side of the Dark Aether map and you will find a warehouse. Search the location and you will find the key on the table.

This key can open two doors. One generally has an insta-kill, but the other may have a Wonder Weapon Case. If you have both keys, unlock both doors; otherwise, choose wisely.

Dark Aether Key- Al Bagra Officers Quarters Key

This is the next key players can search for. We have already told the location of this key while talking about the Munitions Storeroom key. But let me once again tell you that this key can be found on the top of the first pillar, which is located near the middle building. The path to reach this pillar will be tough. While zombies are all there to kill you, there’s even a hanging crane that serves as a bridge to reach the pillar.

However, if you don’t want to waste so much energy on this one key, you can simply get it inside the security building at the entrance. After you spawn, break into the building on your left side, next to the entrance. Once you enter, the key will be on the table in front.

Once you get the key, go to the second level of the main building and you again encounter two doors. One will have max armor and another one will have a wonder weapon case. The trick is the same- collect two keys to open both or choose wisely.

Dark Aether Key- A.B.F Antiquities Office Key

Search for this key will take you to the south underground section of the map. The key will be on a box inside a room. If you are not sure which room to search, just look for a room with Aether Tear. This room with the key spawns every match.

A.B.F Antiquities Office Key can’t be found in any alternative location and can open only one room. So, after picking up the key, make your way to the Main Building. Use the stairs from the bottom floor and you will reach a locked door. Use the key and inside there will be a Full Power for sure. Additionally, you can find a Scorcher Wonder Weapon Case.

Dark Aether Key- Barrack Key

This key location is easy to find. Go to the right side of the map and inside the middle apartment, you will find the Barrack key placed on the table. Once you get the key, make your way to the right side of the fortress and you will find the barracks underground. This locked door has Full Armor Powerup inside.
