How to Find the Elves And Sacred Arbor in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has featured a vast open world to players with numerous areas to explore. Though Capcom took more than a decade to release this sequel, they did an amazing job in developing the game with an exciting storyline, excellent graphics, complicated puzzles, and intense fights. Progressing through the game requires players to explore different locations and complete quests. Among the magical places of the game, Elves’ Sacred Arbor comes at the top and if you are trying to locate it, this guide will try to give you all the required information to travel to the location.
The world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is full of mysteries and as players explore new locations and complete quests, they eventually uncover the mystery that surrounds the entire game. The Elves are among those mysteries that need to be solved to progress through the game. So, it is necessary to locate the Elf Village which is called the Sacred Arbor. But before that, let’s find out the identity of the Elves in the game.
Who are Elves in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Elves are one of the non-playable characters in the game. They are like the other NPC races in the game who love to stay quietly in their village of Sacred Arbor. They generally don’t mess with players. Players can explore their village and interact with them, but like other fictions and games, in Dragon’s Dogma 2, Elves speak only Elvish. They can’t communicate through any other language. Though players can’t learn Elvish to communicate with them, a few Pawns understand Elvish.
Once players reach the Elf Village, they will be tasked with two quests that include two elf characters. However, before that, players need to know the way to reach Sacred Arbor. The way is challenging and tricky. So, without an exact knowledge, it is hard to reach the location.
Dragon’s Dogma 2- Elf Village Route- How to Reach Sacred Arbor?
Sacred Arbor is a secluded location where not many players can reach without any guidance. However, before you start looking for the village, you have to complete a few activities which will help you to communicate with the elves once you encounter them in the village. Of course we will shed light on those activities, but first let’s check the location of the village.
If you have been playing the game already, you are aware that the game features two major regions: Vermund and Battahl. Initially, the journey starts in Vermund and then it will make the way to the next region. However, Sacred Arbor is located in Vermund, precisely, in the northwest side of Vermund. So, start your journey to the northwest side from the capital of Vermund.
Keep going forward and eventually players will come near a crossroad. Next, cross the river, and you must walk deep into the forest, and eventually, you will reach Sacred Arbor, the village of the Elves.

This journey seems to be a short and easy one. Trust me it is not. The practical experience differs a lot from how it sounds. The northwest section of Vermund is the home to the most dangerous and aggressive creatures of the game. Therefore, during your journey, you will most probably meet goblins, harpies, and other hostile enemies. So, start the journey when you are fully prepared for fights. We recommend not to rush to find Sacred Arbor. Take your time and level up first. Otherwise, you may not survive against these enemies.
Now that one has to face this much trouble to reach a location, this is certain that players will ask what is the point of going to the Sacred Arbor.
Why Do Players Need to Visit Sacred Arbor in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
When you are taking on a journey, players need to be sure of the purpose of that specific journey. So, if you are going to the Sacred Arbor, players need to know the reason behind it. In the Elf Village, players will find an Inn to rest and heal their injured Pawns. If you roam around the village, you will eventually find that a few vendors in the village sell items to you. Players can sell and purchase items from these Vendors.
However, the most important part of visiting the village is to complete two side quests: A Trial of Archery and The Ailing Arborheart. But these sidequests can’t be triggered unless you have a Pawn who understands the Elvish language as your Arisen character can’t learn this language anyway.
Dragon’s Dogma 2- Getting a Pawn to Communicate With Elves
In Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can look for a Pawn to communicate with the Elves after you reach Sacred Arbor. But it is better if you bring that Pawn with you. So, you need to make preparations before you start your journey. Pawns that have the Woodland Wordsmith Specialization, are the only ones to speak with the Elves and translate their words for the master. The game provides you with two options to have them in your team.
The first method is the easiest one. Go to the Riftstone and scroll through the list of Pawns to check if you find one with the specialization you need. Once you locate a Pawn that has Woodland Wordsmith Specialization, hire him quickly. Luckily, players will find a Riftstone in the Sacred Arbor. This will solve your problem instantly.
The next method is a bit lengthy as it requires you to talk to random NPCs to check if any of them has the required specialization. This process is based on luck purely. As you progress towards the Elf village, you may find an NPC with the Woodland Wordsmith Specialization, but there’s an equal chance of not encountering one with this ability. Therefore, it is better to go for the first method and find a Riftstone.
That’s all you need to know about how to find Elves and Sacred Arbor in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The process of reaching the village is not easy, but rather complicated. So, make sure you are totally prepared for the way and the side quests.
