These are not only required to complete quests but also they will sometimes help you get the most powerful items. Harvester Orbs is one of them. If you have been grinding through the game, you must have noticed the Harvester Orbs. They are one of the vital requirements to progress through the game. Harvester Orbs (alternatively called Aether Orbs) are purple floating orbs that players can find throughout the map. Until you spot them, they stay still, but the moment you approach a Harvester Orb, it will start flying away from you. After a point, you will lose them if you don’t continue shooting the orb or lose sight of it. Keep shooting a Harvester Orb the very moment you spot it.

It will take a few rounds, but as you start shooting it, the orb will constantly drop points for you to pick. Finally, when you destroy a harvester orb, it will drop high-end loot. These are some of the easiest ways to get your hands on some of the powerful weapons and equipment in MW3 Zombies.

Where are Harvester Orbs?

Harvester Orbs are one of the randomly found things in MW3 Zombies. These purple orbs spawn randomly anywhere on the map and it’s hard to tell you a definite location. After a lot of grind, we have noticed, mostly these orbs spawn on the border of the low and medium threat zones. So, players must roam around these locations to locate Harvester Orbs. Now, that doesn’t mean the high-threat zones don’t have one. But it’s not recommended to go to a high-threat area to find them.

If you are already finding it difficult to locate, don’t worry. These are not rare spawns. So, you will find more than one in a single match. Furthermore, their locations are marked on the tac-map. But the catch is, these will only be marked once you reach near their location. When they spawn, there won’t be any icon on your map indicating their location. But once you reach close to a Harvester Orb, an icon will spawn on your tac-map. Also, Harvester Orbs mostly spawn in the open areas rather than inside tight spaces. So, try to spot them in the open areas of the map. It can be a field or roads of a city.

But these areas are unsafe, and players must watch out for the formidable zombies. The process of destroying the orb will take some time. Don’t get killed in the meantime.

How to Destroy a Harvester Orb?

MW3 Zombies has multiple activities to pass the time. Completing quests can be one of the vital among them and shooting Harvester Orbs can be a part of completing quests. So, you must properly know what you should do to destroy it. Also, take steps from the beginning, otherwise, you may lose the chance.

The Harvester Orbs are not enemies that will fight back and attack you. But they will start running away as you spot them. So, make sure to shoot them as soon as you find one. The process won’t be easy. It’s not like you need two or three bullets to take it down. These orbs have a large chuck of health which requires multiple bullets. So, before you start shooting an orb, ensure you have enough bullets.

As the orb starts getting damaged, it will move randomly here and there. Keep following the orb and continue the bullet showers on it. Make sure you are hitting the orb properly. Patience, bullets, and continuous tracking are three key aspects of destroying a Harvester Orb. Additionally, we suggest keeping a distance from the purple orb during your chase. This is for your safety and to avoid electrocution. Keeping a distance also helps you aim properly. So, you don’t waste ammo. But don’t lose your sight of the orb while trying to keep your distance. If you lose it, it will disappear.

As soon as the orb takes a considerable amount of damage, it will open a rift and try to escape. Don’t let it do that. If it manages to escape, your ammo and energy both will be wasted. The only way to prevent it is to keep shooting it. If you keep showering bullets on it, eventually the orb and the rift both will be destroyed, giving you rich loot.

In this entire process, you must be alive and for that knowledge of the surroundings is required. Keep an eye out for the zombies and other enemies. If you have a squad to help you out dealing with other obstacles, you can focus on shooting the orb. Otherwise, you must be careful of the surrounding areas.
