How to Find All Larval Tears in Elden Ring
Action role-playing games traditionally feature tons of items to collect and when it comes to a massive game like Elden Ring, the number goes to infinity. In this around 120-hour game, players can’t randomly roam around in the open world of Lands Between, they have to complete missions, explore each location thoroughly, and most importantly, collect everything they find during their journey. Among these items, some are extremely rare and Larval Tears are among them.
As a newcomer, players may wonder what Larval Tears do in the game. Well, Larval Tears are one of the extremely rare items in Elden Ring that help players respec their stats. To make it a bit clear, let me say, that during your playthrough, you must have used your points to upgrade different abilities, the Larval Tears help you reallocate the points that you have spent leveling up. Basically, it will allow you to change your build.
With all that said, this must have been cleared to players as to why they require Larval Tears. But now the catch is these are the rarest things to find and without knowing their locations, these are almost impossible to get. So, this guide will help you know the locations of the Larval Tears in the Elden Ring.
Elden Ring – How to Find All Larval Tears
In the entire playthrough, players will get around 18 Larval Tears and most importantly, mostly it should be an enemy who drops these bean-shaped items. However, sometimes players can purchase them as well. With this, note one vital thing, Larval Teras are limited and as you spend them you will lose your chances to reset your abilities. Therefore, make sure to think before using them.

Now let’s check the locations of the 18 Larval Tears in Elden Ring.
Limgrave
The starting region of the game has one Larval Tear to find. To find it, players need to make their way to the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace. Once you have reached the point, start traveling east side and you will eventually meet the disguised Runebear who initially appeared as a Wondering Noble. Fight and defeat the enemy to get the Larval Tear.
Caelid
After players reach Caelid, make your way to the Caelid Highway South Site of Grace. From there start traveling towards the south and you will meet a Wondering Noble who later turns into a Troll. He will be found roaming near the coffins. Upon defeat, the Troll drops the Larval Tear.
Altus Plateau
After arriving at Altus Plateau, make your way to the Windmill Village Site of Grace. From there head south to locate the Minor Erdtree and near it, players will locate ruins where a Wondering Noble will be found. This enemy will turn into a Lion Guardian. Defeating him will give players another Larval Tear.
Consecrated Snowfield
Once you are in the region, start locating the Inner Consecrated Snowfield Site of Grace. Players will initially locate three Wondering Nobles there, but among them, one will turn into a Runebear. Defeat the enemy to get a Larval Tear.
Mt.Gelmir
This is one of the optional dungeons of the game. You can skip it, but you will lose several important items if you skip the part, including the Larval Tear. To find it, make your way to the Road of Iniquity Site of Grace and you will see a Putrid Corpse. It will soon turn into a Wormface and defeating it will give you Larval Tear.
Siofra River
This is the last location to have only one Larval Tear. However, here players don’t need to fight any enemy to get it; instead, players can purchase it from this location. Once you reach the location, look for the Nomadic Merchant. Interact with him and you can purchase the Larval Tear for 3000 Runes.
Liurnia of the Lakes
This is the first location to have multiple Larval Tears to get. If you explore the entire location, you will get four Larval Tears.
- The first one will be found in the Village of the Albinaurics. Make your way to the graveyard and you will find a Larval Tear.
- The next one can be purchased from Pidia in Caria Manor. After you have defeated the Royal Knight Loretta in Caria Manor, look for Pidia. Interacting with the merchant will allow you to purchase the Larval Tear for 3000 Runes.
- Next, make your way to the north of the region to the Lake Site of Grace. There you will find four Crayfish, but only one of these enemies will be awake. It will turn into a Giant Scion and defeating it will reward players with Larval Tears.
- The final one will again be found in the Caria Manor. Go to the Three Sisters section of the manor and use the Resurrection Painting. This will give players another Larval Tear.
Nokron
Another location with Four Larval Tears to get. Below we have discussed their locations:
- Make your way to the Nokron, Eternal City Site of Grace. From there, start traveling southwest, and inside a stone building, players will find a corpse with a Larval Tear on it.
- The next one will be found in the Gazebo, just before players enter the arena to fight the Mimic Tear boss. Two Silver Tears will fall and then players will find the Larval Tear on a Corpse.
- Two more will be found after defeating the Mimic Tear Boss.
Nokstella
The final Larval Tears will be found in Nokstella. Below we will talk about all their locations:
- The first one will be found on the bridge and it will be dropped by the Silver Sphere.
- The other two Larval Tears will be found inside the building after crossing the bridge, on the northeast side.
These are the Larval Tear locations in the Elden Ring. These are not items that players will acquire if they are not aware of the locations. However, if you are curious to use them after acquiring a few Larval Tears, let me tell you, you can’t do that unless you have beaten Rennala, Queen of the Fullmoon in the Raya Lucaria Academy. After this fight, players can use the Larval Tears to reset their stats.
