Strategy to Fight Medusa in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Medusa will give you a real hard-time defeating her. So, don’t jump into the fight without knowing about her attacks. She may not have a wide range of attacks, but her attacks are all deadly, including the Petrifying Gaze that instantly turns players into stone statues. Fortunately, the boss has only two attacks that players can dodge if they are careful of her moves.

The first attack the boss uses is the Arrow Shot attack. In this attack, the boss fires a few arrows in succession and all these arrows explode as soon as they touch the ground. The second and the final attack of Medusa is her legendary Petrifying Gaze attack which is the deadliest attack of the fight. In this attack the boss’s eyes start shining red and she starts shooting beams. This is an AoE attack and whoever comes within the range of the beams will be slowed down and turned into stone statues. Fortunately, the boss moves slowly. Therefore, if you watchout for her moves, you can easily dodge her attacks.

While defending yourself is the primary thing to do in this fight, you can’t forget to attack the boss. Attacking Medusa is not an easy job. Initially, players may find it hard to to deal damage to the boss, but she has her weak spot. Hit her neck and she will take loads of damage. Considering the slow movement of the boss, players need to sneak at her back side and climb her to reach her neck.

Once you access her neck, start hitting her repeatedly. Of course, the boss will resist and try to shake you off the neck. Hang on tight, and keep attacking her. With every successful attack, the boss will bleed purple blood and her snake hair falls from her head. After a few repeated slashes, the boss will get stunned for a few moments and that’s the best time to use your sword to behead Medusa. Two or three heavy strikes will do the job.
