How to Defeat Karakuri in Stellar Blade
Karakuri is a strong mini-boss to deal with in Stellar Blade. Reduce your struggle by checking out the proper strategies to deal with her.
Bosses and mini-bosses are integrally related to the stories of hack-and-slash games to make the gameplay more exciting. Shift Up maintains this tradition well in their latest released game Stellar Blade. While the main story missions are the only way to progress through the game, these missions bring Eve to fight some of the most challenging world bosses. Fortunately, Karakuri is one of the mini-bosses in the game, but her strengths are not something to take lightly.
Expectedly, fighting a mini-boss should be less challenging than defeating a major world boss. Well, that’s not exactly true when it comes to Stellar Blade. Eve’s journey is entirely unique, including the boss fights. So, if you get eliminated by Karakuri a few times, that’s not something exceptional. In this guide we will discuss in detail, every necessary information about the boss, including her location.
Stellar Blade Karakuri Location: How to Get Prepared?
In Stellar Blade, boss encounters begin with main story missions, and these are the mandatory fights to progress through the main story of the game. Similarly, the Karakuri encounter is a compulsory one that will come after players start exploring the Spire 4 region of the game during the Eye of the Hurricane main story mission.
If you have been progressing through the game, you are already aware that in Stellar Blade, main story missions allow Eve access to explore locations to complete objectives. Eye of the Hurricane is the eleventh-story mission of the game, which tasks Eve to complete two objectives: go to the Central Core and defeat Alpha Naytiba Demogorgon. In this process, a few mini-boss fights will come, including Karakuri.

At one point in this mission, Eve will reach the Vermillion Garden. While the scenery and environment of the location initially give off a peaceful vibe, soon, the appearance of Karakuri will ruin everything. Like we always suggest, do not go underprepared for the fight. Stop at any Supply Camp before entering the Vermillion Garden to upgrade Eve’s skills and abilities. Rest there to revive the lost HP of the female protagonist.
There’s no need to rush the fight. Preparation plays a key role in every fight. Take time to get prepared for the encounter. Once you are ready, move on to the next step and check out the strategies for the fight.
How to Defeat Karakuri in Stellar Blade
As a mini-boss, Karakuri possesses enough power to eliminate players in one or two hits if they are not aware of her attacks. So, from the beginning, the fight should be a defensive one, at least until you understand the move set of the boss. This spider-like boss has gigantic claws, which she is going to use as her primary weapon to deal with Eve. Though getting close to the boss is not safe, there’s no alternative, as guns can’t be used in this fight. So, this will be a close-range fight.
Some of the fortunate things about this boss fight include the lack of attacks in the boss’ possession. Because she is a mini-boss, Karakuri only has a few attacks to deal damage. Additionally, neither does the boss move faster nor does she attack frequently, so, keeping some distance will help Eve stay out of her attack range.
The boss fight begins with Karakuri initiating a laser attack. This laser attack is deadly, and the boss moves around while shooting the laser beams. This is an unblockable attack, so, naturally, it can’t be parried as well. The only strategy left here to use is dodge. Jump left or right, based on the direction in which the boss is shooting her laser. If it hits, the fight will start with Eve losing half of her health.
The next attack of Karakuri is the primary attack of the boss-claw attacks. The boss has a mechanical, sharp, and gigantic claw that she swings whenever Eve gets closer to her. This is another deadly attack that should be dodged. Well, yes, again, it can’t be parried. Jump back as soon as the boss raises her claw. Missing the exact time will ruin your defense, making Eve vulnerable to damage.
Fortunately, the boss doesn’t have any potent range attacks, but she still has an AoE attack. Whenever the face of the enemy turns yellow, jump back to create some distance. This AoE attack is devastating. Don’t let it hit you, or your efforts will reach the edge of being wasted. Apart from all these, Karakuri often summons associate bots. These bots come near Eve and explode, dealing tons of damage.

These are the boss’s attacks throughout the fight. She consistently uses her claw attack, but sometimes she launches other attacks to make players defenseless. So, carefully watch out for her every move and dodge or parry them accordingly. Make sure your timing is perfect. Whether you are trying to dodge or parry an attack, it should be just before the attack is about to land.
Now, let’s check out the offense strategies to use. As you are almost unable to parry any of the boss’s attacks, you have to wait for the boss to stop for a while and allow you to land some of your attacks. For example, she will stop attacking after she has completed her melee attack set. Use this chance to land some critical hits to deal tons of damage to her.
Additionally, often players will see a blue glow on their swords. As soon as the blue glow appears, get prepared for a Blink attack. It will bring Eve to the backside of the boss and let her deal some vital damage. Also, using a Blink attack will stun the boss for a few seconds, opening up a passage to use some of Eve’s best-attacking abilities. We recommend using Beta and Burst abilities whenever possible to drain heavy chunks of the boss’ health.
This fight is a challenging one, at least considering the boss is a mini-boss. However, at the end of the fight, the game will prompt Eve to climb up the boss’s head. Press the instructed button, and in the cutscene, Eve will take down Karakuri to end the fight.
That’s almost everything you need to understand before going for the Karakuri fight in Stellar Blade. As a mini-boss, Karakuri won’t drop anything valuable, but the fight will earn players a trophy named Karakuri. That’s all.
However, if you are struggling to deal with Karakuri, this struggle could extend to the Stalker fight as well. Additionally, for any other query related to Stellar Blade, don’t hesitate to visit our site for the necessary help.
