Elden Ring is a game that tests your survival skills, fighting skills, and implementation of strategies throughout the storyline. The more you progress the more you will realize the game is getting challenging. This is specifically true when players fight bosses in the Crumbling Farum Azula. This area tests your battle skills every time you encounter a boss here. So, it won’t be at all surprising if you get stuck while trying to eliminate the Godskin Duo. Of course, the biggest threat in this area is Maliketh, the Black Blade, but you can’t reach the point unless you have defeated the Godskin Duo.

If you are preparing for the fight, let’s have a look at the location of that enemy duo.

Location of Godskin Duo in Elden Ring & Important Information

Elden Ring Godskin Duo Location

Godskin Duo can be found in one of the End game areas of Elden Ring: Crumbling Farum Azula. Once you reach the area, make your way to the bottom of the Dragon Temple. The phrase duo already indicates that you must face two bosses together, but these are not some strangers; instead, you have met both of them previously. To be precise, the Godskin Duo consists of the Godskin Apostle and Gosskin Noble. While you have met the former at Windmill Village in the Altus Plateau, the latter welcomed you during your exploration of the Temple of Eiglay in Volcano Manor.

These two bosses were not annoying when you faced them individually, but the scenario changed as soon as they formed a team and started attacking you. Though they are not as challenging as some other bosses, still they will give you a hard time fighting them. Additionally, this fight is not an optional one that you can skip. Instead, you must face them to progress further.

These two enemies will be a lot difficult to deal with simultaneously. So, try to single out them and fight one by one. Still, this fight will take time and sometimes both will attack you together. So you must be prepared for the fight.

Preparation to Fight Godskin Duo In Elden Ring

Godskin Duo Attacks

This fight won’t be deadly if you are well-prepared and a little more attentive. These two bosses are weak to multiple elemental damage including Poison, Scarlet Rot, and Frostbite. Additionally, Sleep and Bleed damage can deal hefty damage to them. So, prepare your weapons accordingly. If you can use Sleep at the right moment, you can make one of them sleep until you deal with the other.

Though this fight can be completed alone without any Spirit Ash summons, you can still summon a Spirit Ash to speed up the fighting process and reduce your damage intake. Now, if you are summoning a Spirit Ash, we recommend choosing Mimic Tear. This is one of the best Spirit Ash you can have, even after its abilities got nerfed.

There’s nothing to be prepared for much. These are enough to know before you jump into the fight.

Strategies to Fight Godskin Duo in Elden Ring

Before you start the fight, one thing you must understand is that these two Godskin bosses have their individual health bars, along with a shared one that you can see at the bottom of the screen. The fight will go on unless the shared bar drains out totally. When the individual bars are emptied the bosses will die, but they will respawn. This process will go on until you emptied the entire shared health bar.

Godskin Noble Black Skin Energy Attacks

Take on the bosses individually unless they start attacking you together. First focus on Godskin Noble. He is the easiest one among the two. Don’t take him lightly for this. If you are not careful, his attacks will deal hefty damage. The fight will probably start with the bosses shooting Black Flame Energy at you. Godskin Noble can shoot back-to-back Black Skin Energy blasts at you that you must dodge. At some point, the Noble jumps high and slams close to the players dealing a lot of damage. Try to get away from him as soon as he jumps up.

Among other attacks, the noble may sometimes rear up in close range and do two stomps in quick succession. But the most annoying attack the boss has is the rolling attack. Here, he will jump in the air and start rolling toward the player’s direction dealing huge damage. If you want to restrict his chase, hide behind a broken pillar. He can’t cross a pillar while rolling.

Once the Godskin Noble is done, start with the Godskin Apostle. This enemy is a bit tough. The first thing you should note is that the boss has a rolling spear attack where he will start spinning his spear like a spinning wheel. Next comes his jump attack where the boss jumps into the air and crashes down after a while to deal massive AoE damage to the enemies.

When you deal a significant amount of damage to the boss, he will use the most damaging attack where he will stretch his body and cleave the player over and over again. This attack can hardly be avoided.  Finally, the boss has another attack that can deal massive damage to the player. This attack includes the boss extending upwards and stabbing downwards, followed by a quick cleave over a large area.

These attacks are not at all tough to dodge. We recommend running throughout the fight to avoid the attacks and occasionally whenever you get a chance get close to the bosses and stab them with your weapon. Don’t try to deal all the damage at once. Instead, you can stab them once or twice and then step back. Focus on dodging their attacks. Repeat this process until the shared health bar is entirely drained out.

This fight won’t be hard if you don’t take much damage while trying to speed up the process. Have patience and follow the strategy throughout the fight. Be prepared to fight these bosses more than one time as the shared health bar won’t finish early. No matter how many times you may have to fight the bosses, the strategy will be the same every time. Once these bosses are dead, you will receive Bell Bearing and a new Ash of War as rewards.
