Missions can’t be avoided if you want to progress through the Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Story. After you complete the Act 1 Story Mission, Extraction, and bring Dr. Jansen for questioning, Act 2 missions unlock. Now, if you complete all 14 Act 2 missions, you will reach the Story Mission Shepherd, which is the final mission of Act 2. As a story mission, the Shepherd mission presents players with less number of objectives but the tasks are enough to give players an untimely elimination if they aren’t careful about the objectives. So, first focus on the following tasks:

These objectives may not bring anything to your mind if you are a new player. Even for the veteran players these objectives are difficult to complete. Therefore it is normal that you look for help to complete these tasks.

Best Way to Complete the Shepherd Mission in MW3 Zombies

Before progressing further, it is better to know that this mission is tough to complete alone. Especially if you are a solo player, it is impossible for you to complete these objectives alone. This mission will let you fight hordes of zombies and mercenaries along with a Pryonok. So, it is better to be prepared beforehand with a squad and necessary weapons. We recommend having at least a 4-player squad, but if you don’t have that many players at that point, take at least another player with you. Once the squad is ready, equip Aether Storm field upgrade, a Wonder Weapon or a level 2 Pack-A-Punch weapon, a 3-plate vest, self-revive kits, Juggernog, and Quick-Revive with you. These weapons and equipment will prepare you for the fight.

If you look at the tac map, you can easily find that these objectives can’t be completed on the map you are playing. There’s no Neutralizer site on the map. Don’t get confused by this. The Shepherd Story mission is the same as the Extraction Story mission. Once you accept this mission, look on the tactical map, and on the bottom side of it, you will find an exfil icon (a blue human running out with a star on the head). This icon is marked as Shepherd. You will find the same icon on the top side of the map, marked as Extraction. Travel to that location, and you will see a helicopter arrive to take you to the new location where you will complete the two objectives.

Once arrive at the location, you will find that it is a medium threat zone where the enemies will be of high tier. Open the map and you will see your first objective locations are marked on it. That’s the test site where you have to destroy two SAM sites. Though these two SAM Sites are located close to each other, still it is better to divide into two groups and complete the objective. Remember the SAM Sites are located on the top of the building and the entire path is full of zombies. Make sure you have at least one friend with you who deals with them while you place the explosive. Once placed, it will take a few seconds to explode and your objective will be done.

As soon as you are done with your first objective, your second objective location will be marked on the map. Reach the Neutralizer by defeating waves of zombies and mercenaries. On the back side of it, you will get a button to activate it. Once activated, it will start progressing toward its destination. You can get on the vehicle or stay close to it for it to move. Also, you must accept the Escort mission, in the meantime that asks you to protect the Neutralizer. Once it reaches the destination, activate the Neutralizer and your task is to protect it until it is ready to be detonated.

This task will be a really tough one and requires squadmates. The detonator stops at an open location where zombies and mercenaries will attack it from every direction. Make sure to stay close to the Neutralizer and protect its health. In this process, you will eventually face a Pryonok. Fortunately, this creature won’t target the vehicle, but it will distract you and make a passage for the zombies to attack the vehicle. These scenarios need your teammates to protect the Neutralizer. While they can handle the Pyronok, you can defend the Neutralizer. Once it is ready to detonate, interact with it, and as soon as the Neutralizer detonates, your mission is done.

Rewards for Completing Act 2 Tier 5 Mission Shepherd

In COD missions and rewards are just two sides of a coin. If you complete a mission, you will receive rewards. Not every reward will be something exceptional, but the game never lets you go empty-handed after completing a mission.
