Tips & Tricks to Complete Minelayer Mission Act 1, Tier 3 in MW3 Zombies

If you have noticed the objectives properly, you must have got the point that the Energy Mine Field Upgrade is the key to the mission. So, the first thing you need to do is to equip the field upgrade and then start a match. Veteran players are already aware that field upgrades are not part of the in-game loot pool. They should be unlocked by leveling up the operator. Fortunately, the Energy Mine Field Upgrade doesn’t need you to level up your operator as it is available from the beginning. So, you can access it from level 1.

Go to your Tactical equipment section and check for the field upgrade. Once you find it, equip the field upgrade and start a new match. To start the mission, you need to know that field upgrades are not charged by default. So, players need to kill zombies until the field upgrade charges. Kill random zombies and you will see the circle around the field upgrade icon is getting yellow. Once the circle is fully yellow, the equipment is ready to use.

The first objective says that players need to kill 25 zombies. This is not a tough job but will take some time to reach the target. It can’t be done in a single attempt. Though the first task can be completed in many ways, we will recommend you to go to any exfil zone. Better if you stick to the low-threat area as the other two areas will make this mission tough. Once the field upgrade is completely recharged, you need to locate a Mercenary Stronghold or Mercenary Camp. You must locate them in the low-threat zone as it is the safest part of the map to complete missions. Mercenary Stronghold requires a Stronghold Keycard that you can either get by clearing a Mercenary Camp or visiting a Buy Station. It costs 2000 Essence. No matter what you choose, mark the location and go to the location. Run around a little to gather the mercenaries at a place. Get close to them, activate the Energy Mine, and it will launch shock waves that will kill the mercenaries. The field upgrade shoots three shock waves to deal the most damage.

This process needs to be required twice to get 15 kills, probably. However, once you complete the mission, you will receive rewards.

Rewards are the most attractive part of Call of Duty missions. Of course, the mission objectives matter, but the rewards matter the most. These rewards include XP, Weapon Charms, Free Perks, Calling Cards, and many more valuable items. So, if you have completed the Minelayer mission, you will get the following rewards:

  • Rare Aether Tool Acquisition
  • 1500 XP.

Both these rewards are enough exciting and valuable. The Rare Aether Tool is a rare item that players can get through other ways, but acquiring them as mission rewards is the best way. If you have a Rare Aether Tool, you can use it to upgrade your weapons to rare, which increases their power.
