Modern Warfare 3 Zombies has presented players with some of the most unique mission experiences where players must think strategically before they jump into a mission. Diving into a mission without prior knowledge and preparation most of the time will make them fail the objectives. Some objectives are even confusing enough that can even make veteran players look for some help. Act 3 Tier 2 mission Ghosted can be a bright example of it. So, if you are confused about how to complete Ghosted mission in MW3 Zombies, this guide will help you with the detailed process.

What are the Ghosted Mission Objectives in MW3 Zombies?

Missions are an inseparable part of Call of Duty games. Players won’t skip the missions if they try to understand the entire progression of the story. But, these missions can’t be done randomly. Especially, in MW3 Zombies, missions must be done in a proper sequence and with prior knowledge of the objectives. So, before you jump into the Ghosted mission, let’s check the below objectives:

  • Kill 100 Zombies with Aether Shroud Field Upgrade
  • Kill 20 Mercenaries with Aether Shroud

If you are a newcomer, you will probably get confused about the tasks after reading the objectives. On the contrary, experienced players will probably think of it as a super simple mission. The fact is completely different though. This mission is one of the most difficult and time-consuming one.

How to Complete Act 3 Tier 2 Ghosted Mission Early?

That’s indeed tough. If you think competing two objectives won’t take much time, soon you will realize the trick. Before going deep into this mission, first, let me tell you how to get Aether Shroud Field Upgrade. Aether Shroud Field Upgrade can’t be found in-game, you have to bring it with you before you jump into the match. Go to the Field Upgrade section of your inventory and select the Aether Shroud. Equip it and start your match.

These two objectives of this mission can be completed in any sequence. You can kill the Zombies first and then kill Mercenaries as instructed in the mission. Alternatively, you can kill mercenaries first and then target zombies. But no matter what you do, this mission won’t be an easy one either way.

SUGGESTED: How to Complete Holdout, Act 3 Tier 4 Mission in MW3 Zombies

Generally, killing zombies and mercenaries is nothing challenging, but what makes this mission a problematic one is the mandatory use of Aether Shroud. So, before you jump into the mission, you must know that the Aether Shroud can only be activated for 5 seconds and you must stack up the kills within this short time. Also, the field upgrade runs out of charge frequently, and you need to kill some zombies to recharge it before you use it. This already reveals that completing your target in one attempt is impossible. You must activate the Aether Shroud multiple times during the match to reach the given numbers.

Keeping these facts in mind, let’s check how you can complete these two tasks. Starting with the weapons, it is better if you don’t try to get these kills through the regular way. It’s not impossible that way, but will take lots of time, especially to get 100 zombie kills. So, think differently and try to have grenade launchers, Precision Airstrikes, or Sentry Guns. These weapons help you get lots of kills in a short time. All these items can be purchased from the Buy Stations.

Next, you must know where to get the kills. For killing the zombies, there can’t be anything better than an exfil point. Though the entire map is filled up with zombies, still only the exfil points will call a massive group of zombies, and most importantly, they are of low level. This will solve half of your trouble. You can place a Sentry Gun or Precision Airstrike at a proper location and equip your grenade launcher, as the zombies start to spawn, activate the Aether Shroud field upgrade and start killing them.

Additionally, you can use the same method to kill zombies in Aether Nests. These two are the best locations to get lots of zombies at a place. This method will definitely help you to get multiple kills within 5 seconds, but still, you must repeat this process a few times to have 100 kills.

For the Mercenary kills, we can’t think of a better place than mercenary strongholds. Of course, you can try clearing Mercenary Camps as well to stack up some kills, but strongholds will be the best option. Locate any Mercenary Stronghold in the low-threat zone and gather a keycard. You can purchase it, or you can get it from a Mercenary Camp.

Locate a mercenary camp, and place the Precision Airstrike on it. Once you are ready, activate the Aether Shroud. This will help you get multiple kills within 5 seconds. This method will be equally beneficial for the Mercenary Stronghold. Apart from that, use a grenade launcher to kill a group of mercenaries within Aether Shroud’s time range. In that case, as well, it will take more than one attempt to get 20 mercenary kills.

Rewards to Get From Ghosted Mission in MW3 Zombies

After doing this tricky and time-consuming mission, it won’t be surprising if players look for good rewards. Considering this part, Activision has registered two great rewards for players if they can complete the Ghosted mission. We have listed them below:

  • Saw Blade Emblem
  • 2500 XP.

Though emblems are only customization items without any effects in the game, XP is a necessary item to gather. If you get stuck and try to level up and unlock new perks, nothing can be a better reward than XP. It will help you level up faster.

That’s all you need to do to complete the Ghosted mission in MW3 Zombies. Though this mission is tricky, it can still be completed alone without any teammate. If you are not enough confidant about your skills, it is better to have a squad. So that you can survive. We are not sure if this mission can be completed in different deployments. Therefore, it is better not to take risk and complete it in the same deployment. With proper strategy, it can be completed in the same match.
