If you are trying to finish the Modern Warfare 3 Zombies story, there’s no alternative but to complete the missions. Like the Warzone 2 DMZ mode, the MW3 Zombies mode also has multiple missions divided into Act 1, 2, and 3. Players have to complete each act and each mission to reach the end of the story. Now the tricky part is some missions seem extremely easy when you hear the objectives, but as soon as you dive into it, you will get clueless about the method to complete it. The Crash and Burn mission is the same. So, if you are trying to figure out how to complete Crash and Burn mission in MW3 Zombies, this guide will help you with it.

Shoot Down 3 Enemy Helicopters.

This is the only objective of this mission and players may get confused about how can such a simple task be part of an Act 3 mission. This is one of the most straightforward tasks for sure, but not for the newcomers. Even veteran players can also get confused about the ways to call a helicopter.

Steps to Call an Enemy Helicopter to Complete the Crash and Burn Mission

If you check the objective of this mission, it won’t seem difficult at a glance. But as soon as you jump into the mission, you will realize it is one of the most challenging missions of the game. Fortunately, the game doesn’t want you to complete it in one go. Players can complete this mission in different deployments.

Next, before you start the objective and look for enemy helicopters, let’s check the weapons you should bring. We suggest you have Assault Rifles or Sniper Rifles to complete the mission, but no matter which one you choose, you must pack-a-punch your weapon. Having a basic weapon won’t help you. Also, have an SMG or LMG to deal with the zombies.

After you prepare the weapons, we must dive into the steps to call enemy helicopters. There are several ways to call enemy helicopters and all of them count for this mission. But we will discuss the most convenient ways here. First, you can go for a Delivering a Cargo Mission. Check the Tac-map to find the phone icon. Travel to the location and accept the cargo mission. Take any vehicle and go to the location of the cargo. Kill the zombies and start the vehicle. Next, we suggest you drive it until you hear a voice saying that a helicopter will spawn to stop you from completing the mission. Immediately return to the initial location, from where you have picked the vehicle up. You will see a helicopter flying in the sky. Start shooting it. It will take some time, but destroying it will complete 1/3 of your objective.

The next method you can try is to clear a Mercenary Stronghold. Mercenary Strongholds are the most dangerous areas to clear. First, purchase the stronghold keycard, or get them from Mercenary Camp. Once you get the keycard, go to the Stronghold. As soon as you open the door, you will see the first Reinforcement helicopter will come. Destroy it and get inside the stronghold. After you clear the stronghold, the next, helicopter will come. The process is the same. Take your sniper or AR (which one you have brought) and take the helicopter down. You can repeat the process once again to destroy the third helicopter and complete your objective.

The final way that we have found can help you complete the mission is to start the Aether Extractors Contracts. Go to ant medium threat zone and start the contract. Immediately, reinforcement helicopters will spawn to stop you from doing the contract. Shoot them to complete the mission.

Of course, the mission won’t be as easy as it seems. You have to deal with waves of zombies and mercenaries throughout the mission. You can complete it in different matches, but we don’t recommend doing that. It is always best if you can destroy all 3 helicopters in one go. In that case, it is always better to have a squad with you.

Once you have completed this mission, you must exfil the session. Mark the closest exfil point and travel to it. As soon as you call the helicopter, zombies will start attacking you from every side. Fight the zombies until the helicopter comes. Board it and leave the match to complete the mission and get the rewards.

What are the Crash and Burn Mission Rewards in MW3 Zombies?

Like every other Modern Warfare 3 Zombies mission, this mission will also give you exciting rewards. If you successfully destroy 3 enemy helicopters, you will get the following items:

Double Weapon XP Token
2500 XP

Both these items will contribute to the same purpose: level up. These two rewards will help your operator and weapons to level up. If you are trying to level up faster in the game, the XP is enough to give you a substantial boost. Additionally, the XP will help you level up your weapons faster. if you want to unlock high-tier attachments for your weapons, nothing can help you more than the Double Weapon XP Token.
