“Horrible time to add him”: Fortnite Fans Aren’t Too Thrilled About Controversial Pop Star Featured in the Game
Epic Games' decision has raised some eyebrows.
No longer just the battle royale video game that it once used to be, the constant growth of Fortnite has transformed it into a multimedia experience that fans of various genres can take part in and enjoy. Keeping the longevity of a live-service title for as long as Epic Games has done with its behemoth is no easy task, and the results owe a lot to the numerous collaborations that the game has had in the past, with more getting announced and included quite frequently.
Where many of these features are appreciated by the community that Fortnite has managed to create, some inclusions are not really well-received by fans, with the latest one not sitting right with players due to recent events.
Fortnite Festival Announces New Jam Tracks Featuring Popular Artists
Earlier today, Epic Games took to the official Fortnite Festival X channel to announce that five new Jam Tracks will be making their way to the rhythm game on Thursday.

Performed by popular artists ranging from the pop genre to Latin music, the five songs that are coming to the game feature the likes of Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, and Lil Mosey. Gamers will be able to play along to musical hits such as 24K Magic, Blueberry Faygo, and Dakiti in just a couple of days.
However, there is one specific addition that has been standing out as a negative highlight due to the artist being involved in a driving while intoxicated (DWI) incident just a few days ago.
Justin Timberlake Being a Part of Jam Tracks Makes Fans Question Epic Games’ Decision
A few days ago, NSYNC member and pop star Justin Timberlake found himself in the middle of controversy as he was charged with DWI, and with a tour currently going on, the artist reportedly said “this is gonna ruin the tour” while he was getting arrested.
With Timberlake set to make his Fortnite Festival debut with his hit Can’t Stop the Feeling! being featured as a Jam Track, some fans are not necessarily too enthused about the inclusion, using the pop star’s own reported words to convey their dismay.
Another fan mentioned that Epic Games could have picked a better time to feature a song by the artist, as it has only been a few days since the problematic incident took place.
Other members of the community find the whole thing a bit surprising, wondering how Epic came to this decision during the controversial situation.
The Fortnite universe thrives on its collaborative nature and has featured music from other popular acts like Metallica in the past, but the reception this time around has been worse than expected.
Of course, this is not the first time that fans have been dissatisfied with one of Epic’s decisions about the experiences that Fortnite offers, and it remains to be seen how the developer will react to the feedback.
