In 2024, Sony Interactive Entertainment released Helldivers 2 and players can’t get enough of it. The direct sequel to Helldivers, a co-op third-person shooter has fascinated players with its bombastic action and thrilling gameplay.

Helldivers 2 is quite similar to its predecessor in terms of core gameplay. Players can use ‘stratagems’ in this game too, albeit the former was a top-down strategy game, whereas the newest addition is a third-person shooter full of mayhem and madness.

What We Know So Far About the Potential Leaked Weapon

Helldivers 2 features a myriad of weapons for players and the developers are releasing new weapons to make the gameplay more exciting. According to the latest leaks, a new gun will be released in the game. The weapon looks similar to a battle rifle from the Xbox-exclusive sci-fi shooter Halo. Players already talking about the similarity between the two weapons.

The similarity between the weapons of Halo and the Helldivers universe is not a coincidence. Both of these franchises are based on space warfare where players engage in large-scale intergalactic battles to complete their objectives. These weapons bring a lot of firepower to the game and give players an upper hand over their opponents while engaging in battles.

The latest leaked weapon of Helldivers 2 is akin to a battle rifle from Halo. This battle rifle is in Halo and is called the BR55 Service Rifle. It is an infantry battle rifle that is assigned to armed forces who are in service and work for the United Nations Space Command (UNSC).

The BR55 has been issued numerous monikers by the service personnel which is “Monkey Wrench”, “BR”, and the “Big Boy”. The BR55 is a lethal weapon and is capable of blasting a three-round burst fire and has an accurate 2x scope. While targeting hostiles in the long range the BR55 comes in handy due to the availability of the scope.

If the recently leaked Helldivers 2 rifle has similar features to the BR55 then players are in for a treat. Moreover, gamers who have played Halo will find it easier to get accustomed to this weapon.

Xbox Players Want the Developers to Release Helldivers 2

Since its release, Helldivers 2 has been a huge hit with its action-packed gameplay. The game is available on PC and PlayStation with cross-play features. Xbox players feel that they are being left out and the latest released weapon will further disappoint them by reminding them of Halo. However, it will be interesting to see if the released weapon ends up having features similar to the BR55 rifle.

As of now the developers of Helldivers 2 have not given any update on the possibility of a Xbox port. Since the game has been a huge hit it’s unlikely that Sony will allow the developers to make the game available to their direct competitor Xbox, but in a time where exclusivity of games is up in the air, you can never say never.
