Helldivers 2’s Idea for a Community Pot Is Exactly What the Game Needs to Save It

The Helldivers 2 community is one of the most supportive and creative communities a game can expect to get. Since the game was released, it has gone through troubles and controversies, but players never leave their favorite game, irrespective of their complaints. Often, they share creative ideas to make the gameplay experience better, and it seems that Arrowhead appreciates that. A recent instance proves how much Arrowhead values its players.
On behalf of Arrowhead, generally, Johan Pilestedt used to connect with players and share his opinions and ideas with them. Following his footsteps, the newly appointed Arrowhead CEO does the same, taking a vital topic to Reddit and asking for suggestions from the Helldivers 2 community.
Arrowhead Game Studios Asks Players to Share Ideas on How to Spend Resources in Helldivers 2
Arrowhead always maintains a great relationship with its fans, and since Helldivers 2 was released, the developer has always valued the suggestions and opinions of players to some extent. This has made the bond strong between the developer and gamers. Using this good bond, the newly appointed CEO of the company, Shams Jorjani, has taken a serious issue to Reddit and asked for suggestions.
On the Helldivers 2 subreddit, two days ago, Shams Jorjani asked for ideas on how to spend in-game resources. Helldivers 2 players are well aware that the game has different types of resources that they can gather, like medals, samples, and requisition slips. On Reddit, the CEO asked players how they would like to spend these items if they had a choice.

He asked players to brainstorm ideas to suggest the best way to use resources for progression. He further mentioned,
“Many of us (let’s face it, you) have capped out and are sitting on MOUNDS of digital gold (GOLD JERRY, GOLD!) and would like to use said gold patriotically to further the war cause (ie more fun ways of progression). So I’m here to hear about your best ideas.”
He mentioned that Arrowhead already has its own designs and ideas about this matter, but it still wants to listen to players’ suggestions. Of course, the players didn’t disappoint the CEO.
Helldivers 2 Players Come up With a Unique Idea to Solve the Resource Usage Problem
The current CEO is trying to build a bond with players, and his method seems to work. Very few CEOs generally make contact with players; therefore, this unique initiative impressed fans to a great extent.

However, Shams Jorjani mentioned that it is a friendly conversation, and it doesn’t mean they will use the suggestions given by players. Still, someone shared a unique idea that seems to be what the game requires at this point.
Jovian8 suggested bringing a “big, huge, community pot,” where players can choose to donate their in-game resources whenever they want to, and “all have varying values that contribute to the community fund.” This will eventually fill up a bar, and when it is completely filled, players will receive new rewards like guns.
Other players joined in this idea and supported the community pot, with some of them giving it a little twist. How Arrowhead has taken it is not yet sure.
So, it will take some time to know what Helldivers 2 will finally get. In the meantime, get prepared to dive into the first major update of the game. It will be released on August 6.
