Helldivers 2: Weapon Attachments Need to Make a Return After Being in Helldivers 1
Instead of a new use, players want Helldivers 2's in-game resources to be used in an older way.
The Helldivers 2 community is one of the most active gaming communities where something is always going on. One of the primary reasons behind it is the active participation of Arrowhead in building a good bond with players. This not only strengthens the relationship between the gamers and the developers but also helps Arrowhead understand what players are thinking.
There are only a few CEOs in the gaming world who directly interact with players and ask for their opinions, and Arrowhead has been maintaining this tradition well, as both its CEOs (former and current) interact with players in possible ways. Recently, in answer to one of their requests, players have demanded one Helldivers 1 feature back.
Arrowhead’s Current CEO Asked Players to Brainstorm Ideas to Solve One Helldivers 2 Issue
Since the game was released, the path has never been an easy one for Helldivers 2. It received multiple awards and numerous praises for the game, but it has received loads of criticism from fans for several issues. Recently, the newly made Arrowhead CEO, Shams Jorjani, left it to the hands of fans to solve a vital issue.
A few days ago, Jorjani posted on Reddit and asked players to brainstorm about how to use in-game resources like medals, samples, req slips, etc. in new ways. He mentioned,
“Many of us (let’s face it, you) have capped out and are sitting on MOUNDS of digital gold (GOLD JERRY, GOLD!) and would like to use said gold patriotically to further the war cause (ie more fun ways of progression). So I’m here to hear about your best ideas.”
Of course, he added that Arrowhead has its own thoughts on solving this problem, but he still wants to know what players think about it. The CEO mentioned it as a friendly conversation without any promise of implementing any of the ideas given.
As soon as this post was shared, players came up with unique ideas, and several of them want weapon attachments, a Helldivers 1 feature, to return to Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 Players Suggest the Return of Weapon Customization
The Helldivers 2 community doesn’t lack creative players. Whenever players need some change, they often share their ideas on how to make the game better. So, of course, they will come forward with extraordinary ideas when asked.

Though the comment section is filled with creative suggestions, some players expressed their feelings and asked for “weapon/gear customizations.” They mentioned that by using these in-game resources, players must get the chance to acquire new weapon upgrades or customization options.
Some even mentioned that Helldivers 1 had weapon upgrades, and it would be better if the same feature returned to Helldivers 2 as well.
Well, as the CEO has already mentioned, the team may not use any of these ideas.
There’s still no news of Arrowhead approving any of the ideas given by fans.
Notably, these suggestions clearly show that players want weapon customization and upgrades to be added to the game in the future.
