The latest installment, God of War Ragnarok, was released toward the end of 2022, and PC players have been patiently waiting for the game to come on Windows throughout this time. However, when the PC release date finally came, fans divided into groups to debate about Kratos’ character in the game.

God of War Ragnarok’s Handling of Kratos Raised Questions About His Power Among Gamers

As God of War Ragnarok‘s PC release date approaches, an old question started raising its head.

Kratos is one of the most popular characters ever introduced in the gaming universe. Starting in 2005, this immensely powerful protagonist has completed multiple challenging adventures and taken down almost all the gods from Greek and Norse mythology.

Kratos’ Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos are iconic weapons, but what’s more remarkable is his Spartan Rage. Not only these weapons but the appearance of this demigod advocates for his strength.

While his bravery and power have never raised any question in the minds of fans throughout these years, his portrayal in God of War Ragnarok has brought up this question of him getting weak multiple times since it was released.

After nearly two years of its PS5 release, a player, thrboss02, once again raised the question on the game’s subreddit and asked whether the ‘God of War’ has become weaker or he’s holding his strength back.

God of War Fans Debate About Whether Kratos Has Become Weaker

Whether Kratos has lost his strength or is just holding it back is what players are concerned about after completing God of War Ragnarok.

The God of War protagonist represents unimaginable strength and power to complete activities that even the mythological gods can’t. However, as the PC release date approaches, players are going back to an old debate about whether he is holding back his strength or not.

As the question was raised about Kratos getting weaker, a lot of players placed their arguments for and against this. A group of players agreed to the point that he was holding back.

Some even mentioned that it’s time to accept that Kratos is growing old. Additionally, he was out of fights for decades, so losing strength is normal.

Well, soon, players came to argue against this and stated that as he grew older, Kratos learned loads of things from his experiences. Therefore, he is only controlling his strength and rage. That’s not holding back or weakness, according to them.

Another player almost stated the same thing and argued that holding back or getting weak can’t be for Kratos. Though he struggles because he is fighting after ages, he is still not holding back his strength.

The debate is constant as players keep on stating their opinions on Kratos getting weak. Fortunately, most players are on the side of this Spartan warrior.

On September 19, the PC port of the game will be released, but like Helldivers 2, players need to have a PSN account to access God of War Ragnarok on PC.
